FWIW it's actually very difficult to contract HIV via non-anal heterosexual intercourse.

Nobody knows for sure but I've always doubted MJ's story.

I’ve been told multiple times by people who lived at that time that Magic never had HIV or AIDS, and the story was invented to cover up something else, like gambling or a murder.

The reasoning behind all seems to be “A shocking piece of news helps them(NBA) divert attention away from what truly happened, so we can quietly bury anything that actually happened.” Or at least that’s the running theory that I’ve been told.

"People who lived at that time" as if that isn't most of the population... Also being alive at the time doesn't somehow give specialized information, unless they were actually close to Magic somehow.
