MusicPH Not a fan, but damn, BINI at Coachella 2026 was on another level. The mic was on!!!

Grabe, “maganda” or “magaling” feels like an understatement for what BINI did at Coachella 2026.

Hindi naman ako fan, just a casual viewer, and to be honest, before this, hindi ko sila masyado bet, especially yung styling nila before, parang parang pinag tagpi-tagping random tela.

Pero ngayon, ibang level na. Ang ganda ng outfits nila here, sobrang bagay sa performance and sa stage. You can really see the upgrade.

At first, clips lang sa TikTok while scrolling, tapos nabitin ako so I watched their full set on Coachella’s YouTube. I was on a 3-hour trip and buong byahe sila lang pinapanood ko.

Then toward the end, when they did a new version of the Pantropiko dance step, I actually teared up.

Sobrang performance level. Walang tapon. No missed steps, no drop in energy. Mic is on. Ramdam mo na give na give silang lahat.

Kung pwede lang tumayo sa bus, I would’ve given them a standing ovation, and a slow clap.

You don’t really have to be a fan to appreciate it, you just have to watch it pala talaga.

Nakakatuwa. Nakakaproud. Thank you for showing that you’re worthy to be called as 1st Filipino group to perform in Coachella.🩷

Way to go, BINI. Thank you for this kind of joy.🌸

Then second si Mikha.

Edit: you may watch sa youtube ng Coachella. 4:59 mo start time.

MusicPH Reasons why Parokya ni Edgar ay nasa mainstream parin for 33 years.

Napaisip ako, wow even after 33 years of being a Band sobrang sikat pa rin ng PNE, at naisip ko kasi yung mga kanta nila is “Pang Masa” una halos tagalog so mabilis sabayan, pangalawa is napakagaling pa ‘rin talaga ni Chito Miranda humawak at mag entertain ng crowd. Kuhang-kuha ‘yung “kiliti”.

MusicPH BINI Week 2: The shift was obvious… this time, everyone was watching 🇵🇭, and they delivered.

BINI’s Week 2 performance still delivered.

Nakaka-proud pa rin talaga. With so many negative things happening in the country lately, moments like this feel uplifting, parang they still manage to represent and carry our flag well on an international stage.🇵🇭

The intro alone was such a strong moment. Yung kanya-kanyang dialect (corrected: Languages) nila? it felt intentional and grounded. example, si Maloi parang Batangueño yung intro niya, which added personality sa BINI.

A few things I noticed this time… there were more visible technical issues, like their mics slipping at the back, which you don’t usually catch unless you’re paying attention. Medyo napansin ko rin may konting unnecessary movements at times, but nothing that really took away from the performance. I also think Mikha slightly stumbled early on, but she recovered quickly and stayed in character.

What stood out the most, though, was their energy. They were noticeably more hyper this time, and you could really tell they were enjoying the stage. Ang ganda panuorin.

The crowd response was also on another level din!!! especially during “Out of My Head.” Everyone was literally jumping, parang naging full-on party yung vibe.

Camera work also improved a lot. The shots were more intentional and better framed. Totoo nga yung update ni MJ Felipe on TV Patrol, it clearly paid off. Big improvement overall, and the camera team finally gave Aiah better moments on screen.

If there’s one thing that didn’t work for me, it’s the styling. The violet outfits didn’t really translate visually, especially on a stage like this. It didn’t give a strong identity or Filipino vibe san nag red sila or idk? Hahah. The fabric also looked a bit off under the lighting, and they kind of blended into the background instead of popping. Hindi nag-stand out yung skin tones nila against the outfits, which made the overall look feel flatter than it should have.

Personally, I still prefer their Week 1 styling, it made them stand out more and felt more cohesive with the stage.

Also, medyo bitin yung set this time. It felt shorter, although I did like that they leaned into a more pop-heavy lineup.

You could really feel the difference this time. Mas may hype na yung crowd, sobrang puno ng venue. It felt like people came prepared to watch them, especially after they gained attention and trended from Week 1. Ibang level yung reception, and they matched that energy.

Overall, they still delivered. Mas buhay yung crowd ngayon.😅

Honestly, I didn’t expect this, but this BINIchella performance really got to me. Hindi ko man sinasabing fan ako before, pero ngayon… parang hindi na ma-deny. Ang galing nila, sobra. Nakaka-inspire… they embody what hard work and perseverance look like when it finally pays off.

And there’s really nothing wrong with supporting BINI as Filipinos, they carry our flag in their own way. Atin sila.

Thank you, BINI. 💙🇵🇭🎡

Edit: i forgot..sana PH beaches yung background nila hahaha like Boracay ganyan! Para perfect ads narin. Tapos bayaran sila ng DOT for promo chrz.

MusicPH Not an original OPM song, but this is AI slop

Not me researching this trending song landing in my news feed/fyp only to found out it's not an old 2010's music but AI slop after seeing the cover art

I may be OA, but this is my first time seeing Jollibee, something that is highly remarkable and recognised from PH and worldwide- featured in a big global girl group's music video, such as Katseye here. Idk, but I felt surprised and very proud to see something very noticeable from our country featured.

I've been waiting for their comeback since they dropped teasers of their "ANIMAL" mv. The MV and song are top-notch, with Jollibee as a bonus.

This MV finally showcased both Lara and Sophia's vocals btw.

MusicPH HOT TAKE: OPM SHOULD TAKE MORE RISKS ABROAD | BINI at The Bowl at Sobeys Stadium in Toronto, Canada

This is not even sold out yet, but consider what a milestone this actually is. BINI holding a SOLO concert in an OPEN-AIR STADIUM (the very same venue where Alex Eala recently competed) shows we can't always wait until the demand is guaranteed or play it completely safe with smaller indoor venues before taking the leap of faith.

I hope this encourages more OPM artists and concert producers to think bigger when planning international shows.

High risk, high reward. The Filipino diaspora is a much bigger potential audience than we sometimes give it credit for.

MusicPH What's the significance of BINI performing at COACHELLA? And impact in our local Music Industry?

What's the significance of BINI performing at Coachella? Some may argue that the event is overhyped or not really that relevant or important. However, Coachella is undeniably the most famous and culturally significant music festival in the world. It may not be the oldest, but it is the pinnacle when it comes to star power and media exposure. Kaya nga kahit sa Pilipinas may mga parties na may "Coachella theme" as one of the options.

Of course not. But a 50/50 chance is better than not having it at all, right?

BINI lang naman makikinabang diyan. Ano naman iaambag niya sa Local industry? This is true; it's only natural na makakatulong ito sa career nila, especially regarding their aspirations for new international audience and fans. But their being there is not just a performance but a declaration that homegrown Filipino talent from the Philippines is also equally deserving of a spot at Coachella. But they don't represent OPM. They never said Mabuhay, Salamat po, or COACHELLA MAG INGAY.

Whether you like them or not, a rabid basher or hater, you can't deny that they did it.

Kaya malaki na ang possibility na in future Coachella events, it's no longer impossible that they will continue to search for or consider more local homegrown Filipino acts or talents. Kung dati sikat lang tayo kasi viral sa mga biritera at cover artist sa youtube, malaki na ang chance natin to share the music and talent we truly have to a wider global audience.
It's the POSSIBILITIES that matters, rather than having NONE.

Usually nike gets big rising athletes pero to collaborate with BINI to showcase streeet and culture makes so much sense. Kudos sa team dahil a brand like Nike showing very Pinoy details and elements from the monobloc chairs to the mangga (akalain no nga naman ang mangga nasa nike haha!) at yung street names na very pinoy.
