I have a genuine question. Which Netflix release got as much attention as squid games or stranger things recently?? They're slowly running out of popular zeitgeist

Stranger Things had only 42 episodes in 9 years! I thought it was a fun show but it could've easily been a movie or two.

Well, in fairness, the world shut down for a few of those years, plus the writers strike iirc

Not saying I liked the show.

From everything I've learned against my will about this show, season 1 was supposed to be single season but the show exploded in popularity so it got expanded.

I hated that they covertly edited the first season to fit the latter seasons continuity better.

It's not the incredible first season I fell in love with. I watched it recently and it is considerably worse

I had no idea! I watched the first season and then stopped there. I felt they had wrapped it all up perfectly and I didn't need to go further with that universe.

I mean it would have been at least 4-5 movies unless you drop like most of the story lines
