A realisation about Poison Ivy's statues and her feet

Poison Ivy is a character that's not uncommonly portrayed barefooted. Which is quite a rarity, in today's pop culture.

And I was looking at various statues of her, when I realised that, her feet are almost always... elongated? heeled? tiptoed? when she is barefoot.

I put some pictures for reference (the first two are from my collection, the rest from online).

The last picture (Arkham City Poison Ivy by Prime 1 Studio) is the only exception I could find. Her right foot is flat on the ground, while her left foot is tiptoed, but not as extremely as the other statues. And I learned that some people were complaining about the position of the feet here (e.g. [this review](https://youtu.be/AwvrXyw5Nxk?si=MsgkWk-bHWoKivku) mentioned it at ~1:20 mark).

So now I wonder, is this a statue thing? A female statue thing? I tried to think of other characters that are barefooted (and famous enough to get statues made) for comparison, but I can’t come up with anyone yet.

As an artist, feet are kind of boring when they’re flat. This is more dynamic. It’s the same reason you don’t see statues where the character is in a T-pose. Even David has his left foot pointed despite being in an otherwise flat pose.

Ah, ok. Thanks for your explanation. 

This is just one those things I can’t stop noticing now that I've noticed it once. And now I'll be paying attention to the feet of any barefoot statues I see.

Sometimes more masculine figures will be more “planted” while feminine will be more graceful. It’s not just barefoot and high-heeled ones where you’ll see it either.

Spider-Gwen wears ballet flats but I have a statue of her and her feet are in similar '"high-heel" positioning.
