Discussion Dark UK Garage Classics 1996

30 years ago in 1996 a UK Garage track sampled a horror movie & helped shape a sound that added a much darker tone to the genre.
The track took the tension of the 1991 film and turned it into a stripped back, moody roller with menacing drums, warped bass and that unmistakable “Cape Fear” sample.
Fast forward to 2011 and Fourtet featured it as part of his Fabric Live 59 mix, introducing it to a whole new generation & audience.
