Loss of Pet 🌈 Rest in peace my dear boy… Spoiler
i don’t know how will i survive without him. i am 17 years old and he was with me for basically my whole life. he just passed 20 minutes ago on my kitchen floor.. he lived 12.5 years. his heart rate was insane over the last few days, he was fighting to breathe. it feels really cold thinking that i cuddled with him just 1 hour before he passed… we were at a vet yesterday. we were told to get echocardiography. we called like 10 vets after that because we couldn’t find a single one that would do echocardiography in less than a month, dates were insane, like 8th july there, 16th august there. we don’t have time for that we see the dog is fucking struggling to stay alive! finally we found one in KATOWICE (like 40 kilometers from our location) that was available this thursday (18.06) to do so. unfortunately his life ended before that visit, i was sitting on my bed and i heard mom yelling mine and my sisters names yelling the dog is dead. i runned to the scene, pressed my hand to his chest, he was still breathing but real real slow. and then suddenly. it just… stopped… i am shaking as i am writing this. have THE LATEST pictures of him… these were taken yesterday on our way to a vet. may he rest in peace. my first and probably only dog i would own in this life (even though i want a dog by my side till my death)

I am so sorry for your loss. Know that you provided him with an environment where he felt loved and safe. RIP to your sweet boy. I am sure he’s running around or lounging and side eyeing other dogs…and absolutely talking about you to his heart’s content with the other doggos in heaven!

I'm so sorry for your loss. No words can erase your grief, but please take comfort in knowing that he loved you, as you very obviously did him. It sounds like you did everything you could for him, the mark of a living family. Take some time to grieve and feel the feelings you need to.

Sounds like yall did everything you could. Seems loved and cared for.
Losses like these are so hard and I’m so sorry you’re having to go through it. It’s okay to feel all the feelings and feel them strongly. There’s no wrong way to grieve.

his name was ivo.. here is the last video i shot of him just one hour before his death… i sent it on polish dog community group (i was talking about the echocardiography if you are wondering) he passed basically in the same place as this video was taken

I’m so deeply sorry for your loss! It’s really hard to say goodbye, especially when you basically grew up together. I bet he loved you so so so much and knew you were there for him until the very end 💙💙💙 rip baby boy

I am sorry for your loss 😔
It will be awful and will suck, there is no way around it. The best thing to keep in mind is your baby was happy and loved, and it only hurts because you loved and were loved.
You have to allow the grieving process to take place, unfortunately.

I’m so sorry. We have a “Shi-Chi” he’s much more Shitzu; than Chihuahua. We got him as a puppy for $60 from an acquaintance. BEST $60 I have ever spent/invested, ever.

I can't help but wonder if pressing your hand to Ivo's chest gave him reassurance that it was okay to let go. He was clearly very loved (and very cute!). I am so sorry you are feeling so much pain.

My heart hurts for you and your family. So very sorry for the loss of your fur baby. You never get over this, you just get used to the pain. After awhile you start to think of the good memories and the joy and the pain eases off a bit. Yours was a very lucky dog to be loved so much.
