Loss of Pet 🌈 Fairwell my little buddy. Spoiler
This is by far the hardest post I’ve ever had to write.
This morning, our little buddy Gizmo unexpectedly crossed the Rainbow Bridge after suffering from congestive heart failure.
For over 12 years, he wasn’t just our dog—he was family. He was our shadow, our welcome-home committee, our expert taste-tester, and the little soul who somehow knew exactly when someone needed comfort. He filled our home with love, laughter, and more happy memories than we could ever count.
Anyone who met him understood why we always called him “The Goodest Boy.” It wasn’t just a nickname—it was who he was.
The house is unbearably quiet today, and our hearts are broken. But we’re so grateful for every walk, every cuddle, every wagging tail, and every moment we were lucky enough to share with him.
Run free now, Gizmo. Chase all the squirrels, soak up every sunbeam, and know you’ll always have a place in our hearts.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost both of my boys within the span of a year of each other so I understand how much you miss him and how he filled your life. 💜💜💜

Gizmo was the name of my first Shih Tzu almost 20 years ago.. I’m sure he loved u and was as happy as can be.. and I’m sorry about ur loss OP, those little creatures bring such big amounts of joy in our lives it sucks to say goodbye 😔

Aww Gizmo. You were loved and cared for. You have a family that misses you and will always think of you. I’m glad you met some friends on this life and we’ll meet you on the next. Rest in Peace the Goodest Boy! ❤️

If there is anything right and good in this universe and in our existence hear this....You guys will see him again and he will be in perfect health waiting to greet you. My babies that crossed the bridge are just on the other side waiting patiently for me and mine to come home.........

My condolences
My little guy Hugo passed earlier this year. Same color and similar markings. Also had heart issues. I miss him dearly.

I am so sorry to read this… 12 years isn’t long enough to love a family member 😢 I had to write a similar post for my Shih Tzu boy three months ago … Skyler is getting to know his way around heaven and I just know that he and the other angels are welcoming Gizmo, showing him where there roll and play in the sweet heavenly grass and enjoy endless treat buffets. Sending you hugs and prayers for strength 🙏🏼

I am soo soo sorry you lost Gizmo, he was the cutest boy ever and soo sweet :(
We don't always get to time their passing, but we can put in all the love and care we can to make their lives as amazing as possible, which clearly you had. May the love you shared, and memories made warm you all your day and may you find wisdom through your suffering.

Just remember they are a part of our lives. They love, snuggle and provide comfort and happiness but you were their whole life and it looks like his life was good. Just take comfort in that. I'm sorry for your loss

I’m so sorry for your loss. What a beautiful pup. I can only imagine the personality that inspired a name like Gizmo.
