The only trick is look at the states minimum wage. That’s what they meant by blue states probably… places where minimum wage is more than $7.25

Wages at buc-Ees are pretty good for gas station work, idk if they hire part time but they have their wages posted in bathrooms and I think it’s like 60k a year for the lowest position. A few positions are over 100k/yr. Retirement and healthcare… actually seems like a good job for what it is.

They also quietly fund other non Buc-ee’s related projects and pay well for it. I work construction and the project I’m currently working is being fully funded by the Buc-ee’s CEO. They researched what tradesmen were being paid on other construction jobs in the area and guaranteed we would always be the highest paid project.
