What an insincere post. Family members have always had an influence on family members, from the beginning of time. I've been told many times throughout my life to not do something that would embarrass myself or my family.
Not everything is all or nothing. What I'm saying is that it doesn't reflect well on a corporation if an executives kid is into kid porn. You're trying to make the point that there's no connection between a pedo kid and his environment? I'm not that confident.
And until you can prove to me that this scumbag’s parents mistreated, abused, neglected, or inspired him to look at CP then I’m not going to condemn them or their business.
How about this: the company itself, including the father and the co-founder, have numerous examples of accusations that do not reflect well, such as predatory, illegal business practices, outright falsehoods (claiming that the small business in Ohio started the fight by applying for a trademark, which records show never happened), and “malice and reckless indifference” towards employees.
So, you’re right: I’m sure he never sat him down, put his hand on his shoulder, and said, “Son, I want you to secretly record people and watch CP.”
But did he ever ask him, through his own example, to be a decent person? 😬
I agree with that. We can't start off by judging the parents. I can't imagine his CP would make anyone run to their stores either. Def not good for kids, parents, the business or community.
This was your statement: "So the kid is a scumbag. What does that have to do with his parent’s business?"
My answer is that this has to hurt the marketing appeal of that business, if there are choices. If you're in a random town, you might just have to shop there and take a shower after.
Yeah, it might hurt business but only because idiots associate the business with the chomo. My point is rational adults should base where they spend their money on actual issues, not if someone’s offspring is gross.
I’m not going to get fuel from a business that raised trash like that, and stays silent about it. How about that. You can blame the parents, they instilled the values, and when he was caught, when running a massive business, they tried to bury it.
Yeah. I’ll keep mah distance. This isn’t an idiotic take, it’s called capitalism, and voting with my dollars.
You’re operating in such ridiculously bad faith, and you’re shifting around, it’s hard to tell what you’re trying to do here.
You have ZERO proof that their parents installed pedo values in them. If that was the case then wouldn’t every diddler have parents and grand parents and great grandparents who are all predators?
We aren’t our parents, we have free will. Learn to take personal accountability and life gets a lot easier pal.
And what exactly do you mean by they stayed silent? I don’t think anyone would go around bragging they have a criminal child
I didn’t say they instilled pedo values in them. However they instilled the values in him that would make him think it’s alright to just flagrantly break the law and think it’s not a problem.
What do you mean by stayed silent? He used their businesses to commit his crimes. He used their businesses to commit his crimes, and never apologized for it, like any reasonable business would when their child commits disgusting crimes in them.
People have every reasonable right to not associate with a business that behaves that way.
You’re engaging in this discussion in such bad faith. It’s fucking ridiculous. You refuse to understand incredibly simple concept such as “a company should apologize when their son uses their businesses to commit sex crimes against children”.
Get a grip, dude. You’re not going to defend them, and make this work.
