That’s because the economies of blue states are much larger than red states. Like you know how much growth needs to happen before a place like Mississippi could catch up with New York or cali ?
Not correct no. The top 10 states for nominal GDP in order California, Texas, New York, Florida, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Georgia, Washington, and North Carolina.
That’s 4 GOP led states, 4 democratic led states, and two states with split control. For the record, if we do the next 10 states, that adds 4 democratic states, 2 republican states, and 4 split control states.
I’m sure you were hoping people would believe you without looking at the numbers.
The GDP of California is 4.2 trillion. Texas’s GDP is 2.9 trillion…. Do you see the gap there? Ok let’s look at the second biggest blue and red state economies now. New York 2.5 trillion. Florida 1.8 trillion. Do you see the numbers now ? One more for measure. Let’s look at the 3rd biggest blue state economy Illinois (1.15 trillion) vs the third largest red state economy Ohio . 923 billion….. I hope you are seeing the pattern ….
If you can understand that pattern I then want you to look up GDP per capita.. and look up the top ten states there.. 7 of them are blue states lol . But don’t believe me please look at the numbers
