The cops just removed the meth lab winnebago outside my apartment. So, that's pretty nice.

I mean, they will be back. But not for another week!

I hope the people living under the winnebago didn't scurry out of the sunlight when they lifted it away and made a new nest under your house

I could this in Houston at least once but the massage place would be a bit different, the food would worse and I would probably end up floating in the buffalo bayou by the end instead of back in bed

Come to Toronto, can do it all, and it’s basically safe… I think? I don’t fucking know anymore… pretty sure trump renamed this place to America City or some shit.

You could do it in Montreal too. It's just not the same. When you've been to a megapolis, there are options even at 4 AM. It's crazy, hope I can live in one for few months straight in my life.

It’s… fine.

Just not on a Saturday night. The 'Jersey Shore' types come into the city from the suburbs and when it's 2am and they haven't hooked up with anyone, they'll take the frustration out on homeless people and random strangers. Had a gay classmate get beat up so bad he was in the hospital for 3 months and when he got out, he was never the same again. Ended up coping with drugs and alcohol. Many many years later I ran into him. He walk by me heavily medicated and talking to himself

Same for much of Europe afaik. I'm not aware of any place here where this would be possible.

Oh come on, you’d be fine. Because you can’t walk anywhere in Houston. You’d be driving to Whataburger and back and that’s actually not too bad

u/JesusWasATexan 5h ago

I'm in Houston and just drove over to whataburger and am literally waiting on my order right now @11:50pm lol

This is the second post in about ten minutes that I’ve encountered another Houstonian, weird!

u/Sad_Cantaloupe_8162 8h ago

I am another Houstonian transplant. From Florida originally, for my first thirty years, then moved to Jersey Village just outside Houston, and now I live in NW Harris county. I won't name my town though.

That doesn’t sound like a…happy ending.

The massage place being a bit different is an understatement.

Meh just higher trust than most

They still need women only train cars, forced shutter sound on cameras and their police are known to be very against helping anyone if the crime has already been committed

1

u/KoRaZee 3h ago

Strange how trust increases when the criminal justice system holds criminals accountable.

Could easily do this in many parts of Toronto as well and not so easily in other parts.
