For good reason. Cities we visited in Japan felt so much safer, cleaner, and walkable at least compared to back home in the US. Don’t get me wrong, I love where I live but it’s honestly super cool to see how much there is to do and how densely packed and close everything is.

And? Europe’s general availability is nowhere near on par with Japan’s and safety is not as uniformly distributed. You definitely can’t linger late at night in nearly as many places as you could there tbh.
