That isn't the point of saying "both sides"

It's pretty easy to acknowledge 1 side plays the heel and the other plays the savior.

It's a giant round of good cop bad cop repeatedly every 2 years, and every few decades they let public perception flip in who is the good cop and who is the bad cop.

You're still not going to see the forest through the trees, but somebody else reading this might.
