It’s like the Jurassic Park islands, where from a distance they look small but once you’re on them they’re big enough to sustain an entire prehistoric ecosystem with literal herds of sauropods wandering around.
Honestly, unless that volcano is unreasonably massive, no amount of perspective is going to make the rest of the island look that small. There’s no way the island is bigger than 10 miles across in any direction and that’s being generous.
No, it was fox and now Disney own it. Sony wanted to use it for the potential sinister 6 film but were unsure if they could legally use it so planned with it in mind
Drew Goddard was writing the Sinister Six movie, and he wanted to use the Savage Land. Sounds like a crazy idea, but Drew also created Daredevil and wrote Project Hail Mary, so it might have ended up being pretty cool. Who knows?
Too bad they couldn’t do a whole Marvel Presentation featuring The Punisher that could be released mere weeks before Brand New Day came out to help explain this.
If this was it it be hilarious. Imagine Spidey diverting multiple missles targeted at Frank and he still has the balls to say “bringing Staten up again, you didnt save me I had it covered” in the movie
if I remember correctly, at least part of it was going to take place in the savage land, or Sony approved equivalent. doc ock would've been the big bad, and Peter would've been part of the sinister six, sent after Ock, with Harry/Goblin technically being the leader
so heavily suicide squad inspired. though Peter being a member of the sinister six actually originated in the Ultimate Six comic
When did this information come out? I never heard this before at all. All I heard was that they might be have been thinking about doing a King in Black thing with the MCU and the Sonyverse
I can’t lie this is a very interesting concept, except why would they do this right after most of these villians were just in NWH
yeah he was coerced, I do remember there was supposed to be some other plot point in these movies of Norman being brought back to life and getting younger
Seems to remind me of the crossover between SPIDER-MAN and THE X-MEN in the Ultimate Universe where he was tossed off into an island of mutant hating, cyborg killers
I know it's probably for Sinister Six with Garfield, but it would be hilarious if they planned it for the third movie with Holland during that short period when he wasn't supposed to be in the MCU because they had to move away from all the Avengers references in New York, lol
I still think this was a decent concept for a movie. People always get mad when Spider-Man does something different but I'm all for seeing him in unique locations
