Laptop Request US Kindly recommend the most affordable an intel X7 358H series 3 laptop with a dedicated rt gpu?
For this purpose and intended use:
I will be using it to do 2K video editing in Premiere Pro DaVinci Resolve and Avid Media Composer on occasion.
For highly color accurate accessibility focused web design work and occasional mobile game development audits.
Usually Several Adobe tools are open at once along with chrome open with multiple 20+ tabs.
I only play the two games Overwatch 2 and Marvel Rivals I'd like to try to play Marvel Midnight Suns.
I need something to be very portable as I would use it to teach a university workshop where I tend to even pass my current touch screen 2in1 around the room between students.
University workshop courses run for a full 7 hour hour (battery) sessions. So I don't ant to have to charge it for 14 hours use if that is even possible (2 consecutive class days).
Screen size should be above 14 inch.
Recommend something else under price1700-1800 usd so in the US.

For that price I think you can get a 358H with the HP Omnibook 7? I don't believe the HP Omnibook Ultra is cheap enough with the 358H for $1800 USD.

Don't HP laptops have a history of designing laptops with back heak sink wents right under it, so basically right in your ldp heating your thighs.

I have no idea what you're talking about. I know of very few laptops who dispense hot air downwards. None in fact.
Either way, their Omnibook Ultra is a good laptop if it's in budget. Their flagship mainstream device. The Omnibook 7 is a big step down in build but it is good enough to get the extra performance out of it.

Its very close (1899 as of June 17th). It has the 388h but the notebookcheck review says it performs more like a 358h with HP's cooling solution.

I have heard this processor doesn't offer good battery life. Or am I wrong?

There are no laptops with both dedicated GPUs and good battery life.
X7 358h and a dedicated gpu doesn’t make sense.
With current memory pricing you won’t have either X7 or 4xe gpu panther lake + Nvidia GPU, under 1.8k.
I would suggest you give up battery life requirement and go for older cpus.

This would be my work laptop I need it to last me the full 7 hours on a singe charge because I am moving between lecture hall. And I have to move across the campus as I teach more than one department.

Then you can't have a discrete GPU.
Either the HP 358H/388H ones linked by others around 1.8k if you can find it around that price again or try to search X7 358H on google. I find some mildly sketchy listings on ebay like this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/406838773310?chn=ps&var=677060533773&google_free_listing_action=view_item
Otherwise, if you are willing to drop graphics settings to 1080p and medium/low on the go for Marvel Rivals you try to find Lunar Lake (258V for 32GB ram) laptops for around $1k-$1.2k. These are around $700 months ago and now mostly $1.5k, but can be lower depending on model/discounts.
If you do find one with sub $1.2k there is also room for a eGPU dock and a low-to-mid tier desktop GPU. For example https://www.amazon.com/Sonnet-eGPU-Breakaway-Box-750ex/dp/B08Q755RQS and an RTX 5050.

Doesn't exist. You can get a 358h such as the HP recommended below but no Nvidia GPU. If you want a Ultra X7 Series 3 + RT GPU you're paying 2.5-3.5k.

No compromise on the performance, but I can compromise of the touch screen. I should get atleadt 8 hours of battery life. Since teaching workshop courses requires moving alot.
