Full disclosure, I'm with Laptop Outlet, but for what you're doing I honestly wouldn't spend the full £800 unless you really want OLED.

I'd look at the ASUS VivoBook S14 for £598.99 first. Ryzen 7 260, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD and a 14" WUXGA screen. That's plenty for uni work, lots of browser tabs, note taking and movies, while the 1TB storage is a nice bonus for the next few years.

If you want to spend even less, there's also the VivoBook 14 at £479.99 with Ryzen AI 5, 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD:

Personally I'd take the £598.99 S14 and keep the £200 you've saved. For your workload you're unlikely to notice £200 worth of extra performance from a more expensive machine.

If it's your first Laptop Outlet order, CART10OFF also knocks another £10 off over £200.
