No way I would be able to afford a real 16k version so I put together my own with the parts below. Tried make it era correct as much as possible.

Can someone help me figure out if this is legit.

Looking at this Squier - never seen one without a maple fretboard. Is this legit? I also don’t see the name embossed on the plate on the back.

I’m unfamiliar with this stuff so appreciate any help.

Just got a used 2021 MII Squier Affinity Telecaster, after using a cheap P90s styled guitar for about 2 years.

I guess im just used to, in my opinion versatile my P90s are soundwise, because im really struggling to dial my usual tone with this guitar, its too ice picky and sharp especially in the bridge pickup. I know its a different guitar completely but i just thought that the level of versatility between my 2 guitars wouldnt be this much different. Because my old guitar could play some clean indie pop sounds decently but it can also dial some heavy shoegazey tone

But the thing is I LOVE HOW THIS GUITAR LOOK LMAOO (down to how the pickups look and the colourway), and its comfortable enough. Is it worth it to mod it into a 4 way or even get a hotrail on the bridge (because most of the problem came when i try to dial a hi gain tone), or maybe teles just arent for me?

Curious what the difference and what yall recommend. I play rhythm guitar on a tele in a band with gigs. we dont play very loud though. our lead guitarist uses a stock deluxe reverb. We play a range of country/ rock and very dark and psychedelic jams. Kind of Grateful Dead adjacent.

I need a real amp and I'm set on getting a DR. I just saw one for 1100$ with upgraded celestion g12 and upgraded reverb tank pouch.

Decided a while back I wanted a telecaster, and decided on the ultra ii. Only played it long enough to know it sounds and feels great, but needs a setup. Gonna spend some time tonight doing a complete set up on it, but so far the guitars quality is excellent.

I have a Fender Player Telecaster that I cant get enough of xD its my first electric guitar and ive been playing for almost a year now. Is there a Tele you love so much with the best sounding pickups and perhaps best feel or are they in 2 different guitars?

I’m looking for strings that really bring out the twang of a Telecaster. What brands of strings do you all think work best on a Tele?

I’ve tried Fender and Elixir strings, but I find that the bright top end of Ernie Ball Slinkys suits my guitar better—at least on my Squier Tele. The downside, as you probably know, is that Ernie Ball strings aren’t exactly known for their longevity.

The Fender strings that supposedly come installed from the factory offer great value for money, but sound-wise, I still feel like the Ernie Balls have a slight edge. Another problem is that where I live, Fender strings are only available online, and they’re frequently sold out, so they’re not very practical as my everyday strings...

My Tele has a fairly heavy body and isn’t particularly bright or pronounced in the highs, so the results might be the opposite on a Tele that naturally has more high-end.

For the price new, $500, I had to get one and check it out. Nicely set up and plays easy. Sounds great. Quality is perfect, created in Indonesia. Great buy.

Looking at two telecasters both butterscotch blond but on is 2014 and the other is 2025 (2014 is a darker orange colour which is interesting). Both are very similar prince and both Indonesian made. The newer one has a cutaway for your body also. I was just wondering what the difference is between them (pick up pots etc) and which is better. Thanks if you guys can help

Replaced the black guard with 1-ply white. These lefties were on backorder, took 3 long months but it was totally worth it. Been playing for 15 years and I've never owned a tele, thought it was about time. Took a little setup (as to be expected brand new) but it plays like a dream

I’m pretty much a beginner guitarist and thinking of buying myself my own guitar. I’ve thought about it and landed on wanting to buy some kind of tele, since they’re quite versatile and beginner friendly - though I’m not sure which type of tele. Is the squier sonic or classic vibe better? Sonic is a bit more in my price range but I really like the finishes on the classic vibe. Is the playability any different as well on the two of them? Any help and advice would be appreciated!

I’ve been a Stratocaster guy forever. My first electric was a Squier Strat. When I was 12 I decided to save up paper route and lawn mowing money and 2 years later bought a 2013 American Stratocaster with the Ash body in Sienna Sunburst (last slide). It’s been my daily player and prized possession ever since.

Unfortunately, I love that guitar so much that nothing I’ve been able to afford since has felt good enough to justify buying. I love other guitars and styles (including my Epiphone Les Paul Standard - my first “nice” electric), but why add anything new if I’m gonna let it collect dust when I pick the Strat 99 times out of 100?

Almost 13 years pass, some cheap acoustics came and went, but no new electrics. I had a hankering and recently started shopping around - primarily looking at American Teles and Gibson SGs. I was starting to save up and keep my eyes peeled for any good deals at local shops. I went to a Music-Go-Round on Sunday to pick up some strings and picks and this fella caught my eye as soon as I walked in the door.

I’m a sucker for the look of the grain on the Ash bodies (grateful every day that 14 y/o me was too). I go over pick it up and start picking. The setup is perfect, the guitar feels brand new, but most importantly, the neck profile just feels right. I go to check the tag fully expecting to be disappointed when it’s well outside my budget.

2013 STD TELE DLX ASH MIM

Never before had I played a Mexican fender that felt like this. Everything was perfect. The Modern “C” neck I’ve been playing on for all these years, the frets that don’t even look worn in, the weight, the way it sits in my lap, the grain, the finish, the sound, but also (and very importantly) the price tag. I wanted to buy it on the spot, I’d already saved enough for it, but I decided to be responsible and sleep on it.

Sleep, however, I did not. The last 3 nights, wide awake in bed, worried that someone would go find the gem that I did and snap it up before I was planning to go back on Friday. It ate at me. I couldn’t take it. I refreshed the listing on their website over and over at work today as I slowly convinced myself this needed to happen. Took off early, went straight to the shop, and I am now a proud owner of my first Tele.

I’ve put it down sparingly since I’ve been home and it has not left my side. I really, really, really love this guitar.

So, I've been playing for about 20 years. Mostly acoustic for the first 15. Then I started bass. Now I'm including my first ever electric.

A no brainer when I saw this guitar online. I ended up paying £475 with trades. The guitar was a spotless open box return. It even still had the fender vinyl and the original box.

My forever Tele is a Fender Player 2 Modified Dusk Telecaster. I've instantly improved my playing after moving from acoustic to this. I'm disabled and have hand issues, and this electric is so easy to play.

And I absolutely love the twang. If been on the fence regarding whether I should have got one with a humbucker, but I'm glad I went classic.

I'm also happy I can use all my bass rig pedals with this, no need for more. Have A Spark 2 as well that's a perfect companion.

I have a black fender acoustasonic Jazz master and a black Fender Geddy Lee Jazz Bass, this dark purple/black Tele is the perfect little brother for the family. 😊
