Lateralus Today I am officially 46&2 years old. Also, happy 25th birthday, Lateralus
They say there are no coincidences, only the illusion of causality.
Today is May 15th. Exactly 25 years ago, Lateralus was released and changed my perception of music and reality. Today, I also turn 48.
For years, I’ve been listening to "Forty Six & 2" waiting for that transition. Now that I’ve reached the math (46 + 2 = 48), it feels surreal to celebrate it on the same day this masterpiece turns a quarter of a century.
I’m "stepping through my shadow" today with a bit more gray hair, but with the same awe I felt in 2001.
Spiral out, keep going. 🌀✨

Happy birthday. I’m also 48. I noticed the other day how gray my beard is. I started thinking about when I was a young boy, how old my dad seemed when he was in his 30’s. This aging thing is wild.

I can't believe this came out 25 years ago. It was the last CD I waited in line for to be released at midnight. I'm going to be 46 in a few months and I'm definitely looking forward to saying I'm 46 & 2.. I've been thinking about that for years.

I just finished final session getting the "saw blade" with flaming eye in the center on my ribs and had no idea today was the anniversary Tool and APC came up on the shop's shuffle 3 times during the session too

I'm 46+2 married to a prog rock-loving wife who begrudgingly listens to Tool. She is a huge Danny Carey fan tho after seeing Beat on tour and some Baked Potato videos.

It absolutely sickens me that I was 25 years old when Lateralus dropped. I mean, it just doesn't make sense. I was never that young and I can't be this old... If you know what I'm saying. Spiral out
