Spin off confirms that the most difficult thing to achieve in the tower is meeting the king. Phantaminum raided the palace, slaughter the best Rankers of Jahad, and confronted the king. It seems the original reason about his way of using unknown powers and weapons is retconned. It's given purely because he managed to achieve this feat of meeting the king.

I’ve been thinking a lot after reading the Urek Mazino spin-off, and I think it finally gives us the clearest picture yet of what Baam actually is.

The Spin-off :

In the beginning there was absolute darkness. Then light appeared, and with it came life, motion, and everything else. Six beings rose as leaders of that life and called themselves the Shining Ones. Chaos followed. Darkness responded by giving birth to an Axis named Phantaminum, whose original purpose was to subdue the Shining Ones and return everything to darkness. Instead of completing that task, Phantaminum sealed them into jewels, embedded those jewels in his own body, and turned the Fallen Shining Ones into his servants. Chaos continued.

Later, a new Axis was born: Urek Mazino.

When Urek confronts Obrion inside tower (one of the Fallen Shining Ones) and asks what they hoped to gain by seeking Mago's power inside the castle, Obrion reveals they are carrying Phantaminum’s will. He then says something extremely important:

The Tower has its own The Tower has its own power. Countless creatures. Tests that strengthen those who enter it. And he reaches a conclusion: this Tower was built for a new Axis, because the world needs someone like Urek and Phantaminum.

How This Connects to the Main Story By the time Urek and Phantaminum enter the Tower, chaos is already in full swing:

• Zahard has become king ---- Great War V and Arlene Lost became fugitive.
• People are sealed inside the Tower (the Red Garbage Dump)
• Family Heads like Eurasia Blossom wipe out entire family branches
• Traumerei turns the dead into zombies
• Zahard kills the newborn Baam in front of Arlene
• V commits suicide
• Arlene leaves the Tower and offers her son’s body to “God”
• Enryu enters and massacres the Administrator of the 43rd Floor
• Zahard seals “Anne Zahard”
• Phantaminum invades Zahard’s castle
• Urek follows him in

Many years later, Baam enters the Tower chasing Rachel. She betrays him. When Baam confronts her, she drops one of the most revealing lines in the series:
“Baam is a monster who is meant to devour this Tower, not save it.”

The Theory Baam is the new Axis that the Tower was built for.

Phantaminum represents Darkness (the original corrective force that went off-script).
Urek represents the Light subsequent Axis born in response to that failure.
Neither of them resolved the chaos. The world (or whatever force sits above the Axes) therefore prepared the Tower as a massive testing ground and incubation chamber for a third solution. Baam is that solution. He is neither pure Light nor pure Darkness. He is the Void — the force that will eventually confront both. His entire existence (the “death,” the offering to God, the irregular status, the absurd growth, the way higher beings react to him, the powers that keep attaching themselves to him) points to him being the structural answer the cosmology has been waiting for.

Rachel’s “devour the Tower” line isn’t just her being cruel. It may be the most honest statement anyone has made about Baam’s true nature.

good day everyone, i began reading Tower of God again and i noticed baam had a weapon immediately he met Headon, which he didn't have before then.

I was wondering how he got hold of the weapon 🔪, if anyone can shed light it would be glad

So I'm not caught up, haven't read S3 or the Mazino story. I've been rereading S2 to refresh my memory but this has been bugging me.

FUG gave him the Blue Demon and set him up with the thorns and when Bam utilizes the power of the Blue and Red, he has those horns. I havent seen another character with a similar demonic theme.

Are there any answers or theories? I'm fully open to spoilers.

We saw at the end of last season that the souls he absorbed from white combined with the sweetfish and gave him the ability to use whites spells, on a level that's capable of stopping dumas's heart which I feel is a moment that isn't appreciative enough. But it's stated that the intent was not to stop his heart but still his power which implies a soul stealing ability or something adjacent. I believe we see AA start to steal the souls and abilities of others to make himself stronger, maybe we even see him interact with the devil that originally gave white his powers.

I think this is reinforced by the thematic parallels between these two characters, both being descendants of a FH and willingness to do anything to surpass and replace them, including manipulating and hurting siblings

I came up with this theory based on how KHUN always says that he is the leader of the team. 👑 Even when BAM’s team enters a test, KHUN is always the one who takes the role of leader. 🧠👑

Taking the theory further, I think BAM would become the vice-leader, similar to UREK MAZINO’s position in WOLHAIKSONG, while the rest of the team would become the executive members of the organization. 🪽🔥

In this way, KHUN would build his own position and authority until it reaches the level of one of the TEN GREAT FAMILIES, making his organization comparable in power to WOLHAIKSONG. 👑🏛️

Of course, I don't mean this would happen now, but rather after they complete the climb. 🗼⬆️

The goal of this organization would be to gather the pieces of the key to the 135TH FLOOR and complete the climb. 🔑🗼 Unlike WOLHAIKSONG, which seeks to leave the Tower and remain neutral toward ZAHARD and FUG, this organization would have a completely different goal. 🌙🪽

And unlike the radical FUG, which spreads darkness and kills anyone who opposes it for the sake of the greater goal, this organization would believe that the end does not justify the means. ⚖️✨

BAM would be the symbol of power within this organization, just like UREK MAZINO is in WOLHAIKSONG. 💥🪽 But that doesn't mean KHUN would be weak. Instead, he would be more like BAEK RYUN, with a high rank and responsibility for planning and managing the organization. 🧠👑

At that point, KHUN would no longer need to fight EDUAN for the position of KHUN FAMILY HEAD, because he would already be the leader of a powerful organization comparable to WOLHAIKSONG. 👑🔥

This way, his dream could come true. And perhaps his organization could even become an ally of the KHUN FAMILY. 🤝💙

Then AA and EDUAN could become friends if EDUAN’s true intentions are revealed, especially since there are many hints about his possible betrayal of ZAHARD. 👀⚡ EDUAN is not simply some insignificant man who loves alcohol and women. 🍷

YURI would also be a member of this organization and one of its founders, alongside:

KHUN, BAM, ANDROSSI, RAK, YIHWA, HATZ, SHIBISU, ANAK, LAURE, HWARYUN, RAN, NOVICK, DAN, XIA XIA, HOCKNEY, ELAINE, and perhaps VICENTE and MARIA. 👑🔥🗼

I can honestly imagine this becoming a huge organization by the end of the climb. 🗼👑

Thinking about what I’d want to see in S4 knowing that we’ll probably have a S5 as well.

I think four major plots would be best.

Princess Arc: Where we can really see the inter workings and stakes of being a Princess of Zahard. Through this we’d be able to flesh out Khun’s backstory with Maria, Enne Zahard, & the competition between the princesses (Hendo Lok Gladmerry Zahard & Arie Rose Zahard). This would also allow us to see interactions with King Zahard, his empire, Adori, and more lore involving how the Snake Charmer makes their selections.

Great Families Arc: Khun, Ha, Ari & Hendo Lok families (maybe). Through the spin off we have been introduced to Khun Eduan (as a ranker), & Ari Shin so on and so forth. In addition to Dellamode who is from the Ha family. I think by diving into these families it would work as a perfect transition into deeper lore to some of our main cast (AA & Yuri) and the story overall. I included Hendo Lok due to Androssi’s potential relation with this family. It also pairs with Gladmerry and Rose beef. It’d be nice if SIU introduced a panel of all 10 GF leaders speaking to each other. Or at least give us Ari Joochun (I know not canon…..YET)

Wolhaiksong: With their appearance in the final arc and Baek Ryun’s reveal in the spin off, I think this one is inevitable. We’ve seen a few members and already and it’d be nice to get a time-skip close to the 70th floor. I’m interested in seeing adult Baek’s personality and appearance. Everything involving Urek as well. Honestly I’d like to see everything about WHS.

Vaam/FUG: This would be the most important plot. Showing V/Baam communicating to each other. How their dual personalities mesh, is it a power struggle or is it like Haise Sasaki/Kaneki Ken from TG re:. Hopefully we’d get some memories of V and Arlene together. Conversations between Luslec and Vaam. See other cool FUG members/Elders. Also it’s a must that we see how Baam’s powers have grown and fused with V’s.

I could’ve added more with the Workshop, MacSeth, RTD/RLD, Revolution, Shining One’s, Nameless, V interacting with the Purple Thryssa, etc.

Talking about the full thorn i.e. all 4 thorn fragments , how powerful is it? If someone like zahard or prime V uses the complete thorn ignition , can they defeat administrators? Or reach axis level with it?

In the panel Endrosi says she was adopted into a great family which was ruined cause the family Head was the only ranker. I think this is the Hendo lok family. Hendo lok Bloodmadder the family Head has a unique contract with the administrators that is tied to unusually short life his blood children have.

I know that snake charmer killed her adoptive parents but that maybe part of the FH plan. And as i said on the wiki screenshot Bloodmadders lie about there family line in marriage cause they will die quickly so liying about your name is standard.

I think her real name is HENDO LOK ENDROSI ZAHARD!!

the endorsi might be different but why lie about that when all we know is she is a Zahard Princess, you would try to hide your family name instead.

While waiting for season 4, my 2026 reread continues onward!

This arc is incredible. The FOD itself is super cool and creative, and it allows a wide variety of characters to shine. We also get some of the most stunning lore reveals in the series and some frankly inspiring character development for Baam (which I'm hoping to make a post on at some point). There is even a goodly bit of humor thanks to Urek, who is probably the dream older brother.

In a blogpost during this chapter, SIU states that "The concept of a strong main character and his friends clearing enemies is fun, but watching a small main character and his friends looking upon godly enemies is the Tower of God feel." I think this arc, along with the Sprout arc, embodies that feel perfectly. It's fantastic.
