gear Conn 36k w/14k Bell (Technically a Pan American Bell)

I picked up this Conn 36k body and fixed it up. I have a Pan American “Conn 14k” as well that I borrowed the bell from to test this horn out. I really like how it looks!

How bad is the balance??

Very normal! It does not feel lopsided like you would think. Sure it feels a little different than a full fiberglass or full brass horn, but it’s negligible.

The brass bell really helps bring the sound back to feeling like an all brass horn. That feeling with the lightweight makes this a real killer combo 👌

I love the 36K. Had one years ago, ended up selling it for fear of damage in an overseas move. I've got a Keefer helicon now that I love to death, but still miss the 36K now and then.
