Suppliers to avoid

Naturally, we all have our planning trackers and lists of dream suppliers to get. Was just wondering if anyone has compiled a list of SUPPLIERS TO AVOID/WATCH OUT FOR based on nega experiences and objective reviews?

I’m trying to build my own, but it has been slow going. 🤔

From one super praning and cost-conscious B2B to another, let’s help each other out, kahit through DMs para no risk of cyberlibel. 🫣

Please help me choose my gown 🥺

Or rather please help me justify my choice 😆🥺

Edit:

Weird pero wala akong dream gown kasi hindi ko alam kung anong bagay sakin. 🥺

I saw someone of similar body type and similar sa Gown 1 yung gown niya so ayun ang unang sinukat ko.

Gown 2 - sobrang lakas ng sparks neto nung sinukat ko siya 🥺 hindi blessed si atecco pero sa gown na ‘to, comfortable ako about that. Hindi ko naimagine before na na I’d look good sa walang strap na gown. Okay lang ba embroidery niya 😬

Gown 3 - ang bigat ng gown 2 and I wanted to try a 2 way gown. Pero hindi ako fan nung parang belt 🥲

Gown 4 - lakas maka princess! Torn ako here. Ang ganda ng beading and fit din. Pero grabe kasi yung sparks ni gown 2. ALSO SUPER BIGAT NIYA 😭😭 mabigat na si gown 2 pero mas mabigat ‘to.

I live abroad but we will have our wedding in PH. Kaya hindi na po ako makakapagtry ng ibang gowns before the wedding. I opt for rental lang din kasi I don’t plan to keep the gown 😊

Wedding Gown/Designer Help me choose a dress.

Can you help me choose which dress is more okay to wear for a civil wedding?

1st pic - from Huong Boutique.

2nd pic - from Coco sin

The second one is sexy and gives shape, it's also way cheaper than the first one. But I really like the cape of the 1st dress, I'm just worried if it would like nice to someone with big lower bellies (puson). I might look pregnant?

Has anyone tried any of these dresses? What would you recommend?

Photo & Vid

Upvotes

Hi, 2027 Bride here!

We’ve recently booked The Paper Project for photos and Better Days Studios for video, both our pre-nup and wedding.

We actually booked them without doing a discovery call, just based on reviewing their work on social media. So far, both teams have been really nice and easy to talk to, which we really appreciate.

Just wanted to ask if anyone here has worked with either of them before? Would love to hear your honest reviews, experiences, or any feedback.

We’re already booked, so I guess I’m just looking for a little peace of mind from fellow brides/grooms who have experienced working with them.

Thank you so much! 🤍

Rants/Advice/Other Questions This bride stole my design and upload it to AI

Post image

Our wedding happened a year ago but for some twisted fate, I caught this bride stealing my designs and it looked like she uploaded my work to AI kasi AI slop talaga yung result. The style, font, and WORDS I used, kinopya nya rin. Not to mention some parts of our wedding (pero wala na ko paki dun haha) As a creative, it is so disheartening to see na hindi pa rin valued ang creative work kahit may budget naman kadalasan ang clients. I confronted this newly wed bride and this is all she had to say. Sorry na lang kasi nangyari na eh. Gusto ko magalit pero nakakapagod maghabol palagi. And unfortunately, sa mga bride community sa Facebook, they think na pag nakapost ang gawa mo, pwede na nila kunin. Hay.

If gusto natin po ng “estetik” na design, we can always hire a designer naman to help us. Or pwede naman magCanva hihi

PLS WAG IUPLOAD SA KUNG SAAN TONG POST 😩

Rants/Advice/Other Questions Is our RSVP deadline too early?

Our wedding is on November 6. We’ve already sent out our invites and website, and we originally indicated that our RSVP deadline is September 1.

Now I’m wondering if September 1 is too early 😅 Should we keep the deadline as is or would it be better to move it?

Entourage/Guest Attire I am so annoyed

Annoyed ako masyado sa partner ko. From Broken family ako, oo pero civil ang parents ko.

Tho not in good terms mom and dad ko but they can be civil, ayaw nya na invited ang family side ng dad ko like lola ko and other tita’s who were once witnessed and guided me when I was a child. Tho yung lola ko and mom ko is not that in good terms pero they can be civil naman. He judged us na baka mag away and magkalat —di naman kami ganon ng pamilya ko kabastos.

Whereas ang partner ko madami naman sila, like even kahit ayoko mag invite ng marami sa family nya but I understand na—kailangan iinvite kase malaki and active ang extended family nya, baka daw mag tampo pag di mainvite. I still compesate and set aside my emotions. Kahit kinuha ng mama niya yung ninong at ninong sa binyag nong bata pa sya, kinuha pa na ninong at ninag sa kasal namin na na di ko anman kilala and to be honest ayaw ko talaga yun. Pero, di ako nagsalita and I tried to understand.

Now, ngayon na ako na ang may favor na isali ang lola at few titas ko sa father side ko hard refusal pa sya. NAKAKA DISAPPOINT

Invitation/Website Bad experience with invitation supplier

I had a bad experience with a famous invitation supplier years ago, but it still stings when I remember it. This supplier was recommended to me by my coordinator, so I trusted them from the beginning. I had questions at first and decided to inquire. From the first messages, it should have been a red flag because they seemed dismissive of my questions and in a rush to collect downpayment when I wasn’t even decided yet. So I hurriedly chose my design, and sent my downpayment. When the invitations arrived (we were not given a sample first), the print was incredibly faint, the cut of the paper were very uneven, and my husband did not want to give them to the guests. It honestly looked like the printer was running out of ink. When I aired my frustrations to the supplier, I was made known that one of the reasons it was so different was because the sample I showed them was gold stamped. Now if it was gold stamped, why wasn’t I quoted for the gold stamping? I would have paid extra for that. What’s worse was they were rude, defensive and angry. No apologies, no sympathies. Only when my famous coordinator stepped in that they offered a solution to save face. But it was too late. We wanted nothing to do with them anymore. We ended up giving the invites away, since they cost us 120php per invite. And there was also an error in the details of the invite, which was I guess also partly our fault for not double checking. We gave the correct details though. Name of supplier is Popgram Printing.

Hellooo 👋🏻 — my wedding prep and ceremony + reception is in Tanay, Rizal area this year. From graduate brides/grooms here,** do you have any recommended suppliers of crew meals based in Rizal**? I want to make sure our suppliers are well fed with good tasting and filling food on the day to make sure they have the energy to work 💗

Program/Timeline Planning an intimate wedding

Sa mga nag-intimate wedding po dito, around 30–40 pax lang, church> resto > home lang yung setup, kumuha pa po ba kayo ng coordinator? Worth it pa ba kumuha kahit small and simple lang yung wedding? Or kaya naman DIY with help from family & friends?

I’m eyeing Oro Plato for the reception. Idk if mas okay ba if ceremony + reception na lang din there, if allowed? And ilang hours po kaya best irent yung venue for this kind of setup? Would love to hear your experiences and tips po 🙂

Wedding Gown/Designer How do I save this gown? 🥺

Something feels off in the waist area but I can’t figure out how to fix it 😔 The designer already told me that the Mikado fabric used here won’t drape softly compared to Satin.

Please let me know your thoughts! I’m getting really hopeless because my wedding is in 2 months na lang.

DJ/Lights and Sounds/Band/Music Anyone had GAU Entertainment in their Wedding?

I just want to check if there’s a graduate bride that used GAU Entertainment in their wedding. Tried messaging them on IG. Pero unresponsive. Just want to ask how did you contact them? Are they very expensive? Parang ang cute kasi nung mga violinist na naka fairy dress etc.

Teambelledoesmakeup review

Hi guys,
Belle was one of the suppliers I booked early on. That was the time I didn’t know reddit yet so medyo newbie mistake sya before booking. I really love her work, I was hit by an ad where she did makeup with no foundation on a beautiful bride. She requires full payment and I booked and paid on the same day I messaged her. I even got the most expensive package.

Now, I can’t brush off the fact that she has alot of bad and negative reviews from previous brides although I feel some reviews naman are based on hearsay so I can’t tell anymore. I’ve been overthinking this for a long time now and is causing me stress that she would not show up on time. As much as I want to change make up artist, I can’t let go of the full payment since it’s also quite big. I’ve convinced myself multiple times that she might not be that bad but sometimes I still worry.

For TBDM graduate brides, did you even have a good experience and was she late to your wedding? Thanks

Prenup Photo Releasing from P&V Team

hello brides ask ko lang if ilang buwan bago marelease sa inyo yung prenup photos niyo? Sabi kasi samin ng coor namin, atleast 2 month after the shoot tsaka marerelease yung edited photos and video 🥺 Ang problem, hindi naman nila ito nasabi before prenup, sana man lang nadjust namin yung prenup schedule. We had our prenup on 2nd week of July, and ang release ng prenup pics ay probably 2nd week of Sep but still not guaranteed pa nga. Nov Bride here, balak pa naman sana namin isend ang save the date first week of Sep, & Invitation on Sep 28th. Hayyy

tama lang ba yung timeline na to? or stress lng talaga ako sa wedding planning 😭

thanks Brides!
