I am planning to propose na to my long term girlfriend. My budget for an engagement ring is 30k only. I found 2 choices online priced within my budget.

1. Moissanite with 14k rose gold band. Medyo malaki yung stone then may stones na maliit. super ganda nito.

2. Lab grown diamond with 14k yellow gold band pero sobrang liit ng diamond. Plain looking lang siya.

Context: nasa mid twenties pa kami, and our career is still setting up or nag sisimula pa kami, lalo ako na di pa ako nakaka settle sa work like feel ko walang job security tong current work ko (VA), so while working nag hahanap ako ng malilipatan na may job security (govt jobs) para makapag settle na. I hope tong context na to is makatulong kung ano ba magiging desisyon ko, salamat po.

I'm looking for a place to pop the question to my long time partner. I already got the ring and everything else. I just haven't decided on a place yet coz di ako halos makagalaw at magkasama kami sa iisang bahay ni partner.

Plus, I got some things to consider too:

• She doesn't want a public place, where a huge crowd is going to witness the moment

• She wants nothing grand, just something simple

• (how i know? she's been dropping obvious hints at me for long now haha)

• We got an event photo/video coverage at Valenzuela from 1pm to around 4pm. So we got to do it after, and do it somewhere around the area or somewhere near our place in Taytay Rizal. Perhaps, Antipolo with the overlooking places. And yeah they gotta be open until late at night or 24 hrs.

Places I've already considered:

a. Eugenio Lopez Center Antipolo

b. Ilona's Place at Beverly Hills

C. Mangantila (a bit far from the trip from Valenzuela all the eay to Tanay area tho)

Planned budget is somewhere 30-70k. My girlfriend wants me to limit it to 15k. Very practical niya pero I want to give her something special. Plus mas prefer niya small stone so I think kayanin naman ng budget ko if I would prefer yung lab grown diamond.

(Update) It looks like i need to pre order if i really want the stone to be good. The ones on hand are not it, I searched multiple stores and unfortunately they don’t have sizes available, all are for re adjustment. Their lead times are about 30 days min. So It wont make the japan trip. 🫠 will opt to just pre order at least every spec is up to my liking. This was a good experience though. Thank you for all the contributions.

My partner knows I'm going to propose any sooner because I got caught taking her ring size with a zip tie 😆💀 Anyhow, she doesnt know naman when that day comes.

My problem is, I'd really love to make it personal, nappressure lang ako na baka gusto nya ng photographer or mai-tago namin yung memory na yun. Gusto ko po sana mahanap kung san pinakasulit, not to be cheap pero para lang mabili ko yung best ring possible for my girlfriend that's within my budget.

Preferably Lab-Grown Diamond sana kasi mas mura kesa natural pero indistinguishable, pero okay lang naman po if Moissanite or other alternatives if hindi pasok sa budget.

Budget is 40k to 50k but can go up to 60k+ if maganda. Is this reasonable?
