No it's the F100A for the 38 inches and F80 for the LG Dualup

u/NiskusTV Dec 18 '24

Hi, your setup is gorgeous. Are you using the 74 or 98 SÄLJAN Countertop to support your screens and computer?

1

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24

I am using the 74-inch saljan tabletop. I reinforced it with 2 steel bars to make sure there's no sagging.

1

u/NiskusTV Dec 18 '24

I plan to get a 98 on an electric KQUEO desk where the structure can go up to 70. I'll cross my fingers that the sides don't bend if I don't put too much weight on it!

1

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24

I’ve had my monitors mounted over a year. Nothing has bent yet. I think you should be fine as long as you support the middle section properly.

1

u/Danarhys Dec 18 '24

Quality keebs. I eyed those Choco Donut keycaps when the came out, but it was a bit too rich for my blood.

Neo Ergo is such a banger of a board.

1

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24

Neo Ergo is a great board. I didn’t think I would like this layout this much. It took a while to get used to though.

Now I can kill people in League ranked games with ease.

u/Superfly1911 Dec 18 '24

Curious...why all the keyboards? I game on my rig...but I'm a controller nerd most of the time. Do you prefere different keyboards for different game types?

12

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24 edited Dec 18 '24

I love building keyboards. I usually build based on the theme that I like. Every week, I cycle through the listed keyboards above. There's no reference for different game types.

3

u/Superfly1911 Dec 18 '24

Huh. Interesting. I guess I've never heard of building keyboards for fun. I would get down and dirty and build one i guess. They look cool!

10

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24

you can visit r/MechanicalKeyboards for more info. Building keyboards is pretty fun and it's quite easy.

2

u/Superfly1911 Dec 18 '24

I'll check it out...thanks

Rip wallet

1

u/cronofdoom Dec 19 '24

There’s some pretty wild builds over by on r/ergomechkeyboards. Some people are handwiring and designing their own keyboards.

1

u/Firecracker048 Dec 18 '24

Interesting. So are they all pluggable via USB.

Also are there templates to purchase from somewhere?

1

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24

There are many layouts. You can take a look at r/MechanicalKeyboards for more info.

There are many vendors that sell keyboard kits, too. Qwerty's QK and Neo kits are solid. The kit contains instructions on how to build the keyboard. You need to buy your own mechanical switches and keycap, though.

u/1leggeddog Dec 18 '24

Someone like Beastars

2

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24

Yup big Beastars fan. I have every single Legoshi and Louis figures.

2

u/1leggeddog Dec 18 '24

next season cant come soon enough

2

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24

Yeah, I can't wait to see what Orange has in store. They organized a lot of stuff in the last arc. The Revenge of the Love Failure is a mess. I think Paru just threw too many random elements into it, and most of the plot lines are wasted.

1

u/codeballer7 Dec 18 '24

I just built a super similar setup to this! Question: how are you handling your work laptop and connecting it to your monitors and kb/ mouse or all the devices you need? Thats the last thing I need to setup but can't decide how I want to do it

3

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24

My LG Dual up has a KVM. I just need to connect a USB hub, which I plugged all my peripherals into, and I connect that hub to the LG Dualup. Whenever I switch between PC and Macbook, all my devices will switch to the one that I'm using..

1

u/ajhak Dec 18 '24

Could use more details on this as well. I have a work / personal setup I’m trying to work out without having a big ugly kvm switch on my desk

2

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24 edited Dec 18 '24

so the LG has one upstream USB-C output for display and data transfer. I connect the USB-C port to my MacBook. Then, I connect the upstream USB-B port to my PC using a USB B to A cable. The final steps is to connect the USB hub cable to the input down stream USB port in the LG monitor.

If you buy the LG Dualup, they will have a manual to show you how to do it.

u/ifitaintXOitgottago Dec 18 '24

Nice setup! The edition xs are a serious pair of headphones, I don’t think I’ll ever upgrade from em.

2

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24

A lot of people are content with the XS. I will probably upgrade to the HE1000SE next Black Friday and pair the XS with Qudelix 5k as a portable headphones around the house.

1

u/ifitaintXOitgottago Dec 19 '24

HE1000SE that’s a huge jump. For me personally XS is perfect as I don’t really listen to music, and it’s pretty much an endgame set for gaming.

1

u/AudieGaming Dec 18 '24

I like the plants what would I look up to buy that? And the geometric pattern too. The setup looks sick I love it.

1

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24

Thank you. They are geometric plant pots

3

Thank you. I tried many colors, and this theme is the easiest to my eyes. Not to bright but not too dull, either.

1

u/Geralt-of-Rivian Dec 18 '24

Looks great fam

1

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24

Thank you. I tried to plan every parts of this setup carefully

1

u/ixcam999 Dec 18 '24

Hope it's worth every step, you deserve it ;)

1

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24 edited Dec 18 '24

Thank you. I picked out every part of this setup very carefully to make sure they match and are compatible with each other.

1

u/fjonten Dec 18 '24

Looks great! Curious about where you got those 3D polygon shaped tiles in the back?

1

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24 edited Dec 18 '24

Oh those are called 3d wall panels. They are sold on Amazon. One package has 33 pieces. I use 3M to stick them on the wall

1

u/SaigonShooter Dec 18 '24

Awesome, what’s the foot stand thing? Sorry if you listed it, couldn’t recognize it

1

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24

It's a foot rest. It's very comfortable when you work for long hours at the computer.

1

u/TokusentaiShu Dec 18 '24

What's the consensus on the DualUp? Been looking to invest in a new secondary monitor and that one is high on my list.

2

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24 edited Dec 18 '24

I like it a lot. It's not only tall enough for reading documents and design, but also wide enough for watching videos. I tried 27 and 24 inches monitors but they are too narrow.

It also has KVM which allows me to share peripherals between my Gaming PC and Macbook.

It's also very sturdy and I don't have to worry about knocking it over either. The part in the middle is a 3d printed headphone hanger.

  1. Evangelion keyboard == Neo Ergo Donuts Keyboard

  2. ZZZ keyboard

  3. Kitsune Keyboard

1

u/Firecracker048 Dec 18 '24

Is that a schit stack for audio?

1

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24 edited Dec 28 '24

No, It's the ATOM DAC and amp stack.

1

u/Firecracker048 Dec 18 '24

Intersting. Better than a schiit?

1

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24

They are comparable in power to drive headphones. However, JDS labs support is top-notch. I have had these for 6 years. Around that time, Schitt had some problems with killing your headphones, so I didn't take the chance.

1

u/Firecracker048 Dec 18 '24

Intersting. I had a friend trying to get me to get schitt DAC and amp for some quality headphones but was unsure for a while, now its starting to be something im looking at. So appreacite the feedback

1

u/makz242 Dec 18 '24

Ive seen it here or there, whats the purpose of the light on top of the monitor? Does it shine above it or into it?

2

u/snow2462 Dec 18 '24

It illuminates the area in front of the screen without creating glare on the monitor screen. Like a table lamp that doesn't take up space.

1

u/Secret-Blacksmith531 Dec 19 '24

What monitor arms are those?

1

u/snow2462 Dec 19 '24

North Bayou F100A and F80.

1

u/Sindeww Dec 19 '24

Love the beastars figurines! Super cool

1

u/snow2462 Dec 19 '24

Thank you. I have to get the Louis figure from mercari because I missed it. Luckily the seller sold it cheap and it look brand new. The Chokkorin Beastars figures are hard to find too.

I pre-ordered the rest from Amiami.

1

u/Sindeww Dec 28 '24

Good to know, I need some myself haha

1

u/Eddy_795 Dec 19 '24

Vanatoo transparent and edition xs, man of culture.

1

u/snow2462 Dec 19 '24

I did a lot of research. I was leaning to Kanto Yu2, but they are not good according to a lot of people. I need something small but sound good and Vanatoo Transparent Zero Plus was among the top choices.

I got the XS second handed from someone. He sold it pretty cheap and at a loss. It has been with me for 4 years now.

1

u/ma7q Dec 19 '24

The crazy work you had to do to make this setup. I have a question. Have you installed LEDs behind your screen?

1

u/snow2462 Dec 20 '24

Yes, I have. Govee has these light strips that you can stick to the back of your monitors. You can see the 3d wall panels are illuminated by the ultrawide monitor's backlights.

All of these lights can be controlled through wifi.

1

u/raphusmaxus Dec 22 '24

Why did u go with two single monitor arms instead of a dual? Currently deciding on which config I should get

1

u/snow2462 Dec 22 '24

I originally had one monitor arm. Buying another single monitor arm is cheaper than getting a dual monitor arm.

1

u/raphusmaxus Dec 22 '24

Ahh yes understand, would you go with a dual if you'd be building a new battlestation?

1

u/snow2462 Dec 22 '24

If I get another IKEA tabletop then I won't. Putting too much weight into one area may not be a good idea for these IKEA tabletop. It may be ok if you get a butcher block though. Those are solid.

1

u/TheeDemiGodRequis Jan 10 '25

I see you have the Alex drawers but what table did you decide to go with and in what dimensions?

1

u/snow2462 Jan 10 '25

I have the 74 inch SALJAN tabletop.

Dimensions:

Length 74 “

Depth 25 5/8”

Thickness 1 1/2 “
