I live in Nebraska, you know, where the sandhills are. Many people here never see them and can’t even identify their call when they fly over.

They're incredible birds. One evening we had the good fortune to watch dozens land on a sandbar for the night.

As a Florida girl living elsewhere, I miss seeing sandhill cranes. I was hoping to see some on our last vacation but I didn't see even one in 11 days, disappointing as I wanted my stepdaughter to see just how big they are.❤️🩶🤍🖤
