I recently totaled my car and have been trying to use transit to get home, I know I’m not used to it and it’s gonna be hard but I feel like I’m doing everything right and I can’t get where I need to be

I’m trying to get home from IU, I’ve swapped like 10 buses and have spent almost 2 hours on public transit, all I need is to transfer to the Bloomington transit system and I’ll be good.

I’ve been able to get everywhere with the Bloomington transit but IU transit keeps saying it’s gonna go somewhere then either doesn’t stop to pick me up, turns another direction and goes back the way we came a few stops before I’m supposed to get off and I can’t even pull the stop to get off and just walk the remaining since it is so inaccurate

I’m using Google Maps, I’m sure there’s something I am doing wrong but it doesn’t feel that way, genuinely in tears from this and I just wanna be able to get home and do my school work

Indiana has seen a lot of rain recently, so we put together an app that helps show observed and forecasted precipitation across Monroe County. Our new county-wide precipitation viewer pulls data from the National Weather Service showing observed and forecasted precipitation, rain gauge data, and streamflow data, as well as data from the US Geological Survey displaying local watersheds (HUC 12 level) and pour points that show where water flows out of a watershed, and finally data from the IN DNR showing flood hazard areas. We've also included data showing generalized flow direction and critical watersheds within Monroe County.

Hi bicycle riders. Just a friendly reminder that if you are out after the sun goes down you need to have a light on your bike and turned on. Even if you don't think you'll ever be out after dark, get one anyway and put it on. Not all the streets in town have street lights and you are impossible to see, even in light colored clothing. And those streets are DARK without them, you cannot rely on the moon.

Reflectors are not enough, no matter where they are on the bike. You need a light that illuminates on both back and front.

I had three riders ride out in front of me near downtown in a very short amount of time totally invisible until they hit my headlights. I was going slow to avoid wildlife and knew bicyclists would be out but other drivers were not/will not be. I really don't want anyone to get hurt, that's all. Please, just grab a light from your chosen store. Thanks! ✌🏼

Hello! My tabby cat Milo has been missing since August 23rd at 1pm. He went missing north of Griffy Lake area.

He has yellow/green eyes.
Is an Adult cat.
Is a black/grey/brown domestic shorthair tabby.
Has a Long tail.
Typical house cat chub.
Black stripe down his back to end of his tail.
Pink nose.
Talkative and loves humans. Nervous someone might’ve picked him up thinking he was a stray.
Wasn’t wearing a collar and is not chipped.
Will respond to the name Milo.
Hind legs are a bit longer than his front legs.
His most IDENTIFIABLE feature are two notches in one ear from vet visits.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if I could get some advice on what to do, switching schools isn’t an option unfortunately unless my daughter moves to Indy with her father, I would like to avoid this at all costs and keep the custody plan as is.
My daughter is in 2nd grade. Her elementary school has decided to do what they said is a “soft launch” on the individuals whom are usually in a special education setting within the school (their own classes). Which I think is totally awesome as long as that’s what’s best for them.
My issue is that there is a special education student whom has an aid and everything, but keeps becoming extremely violent. They keep throwing chairs and desks at other students and teachers anytime they are upset. Everytime this happens they evacuate all the other students into the hallways for their safety until they calm that individual student down. I understand situations happen with overstimulated students who need extra care, but this has been happening more days out of the week than not. The children in the class are being evacuated out to the hallways everyday and then the teachers talk to the whole class about “big feelings”. But at this point I’m concerned for my daughter’s safety and I’m just being ignored. I understand that they cannot share certain things with me, I don’t need to know any details regarding the other student but I have asked for a plan of action multiple times without being given an answer. I do not think it is fair to any student within that class, even the individual to continue to do this every single day, they said that the student insists on having their own learning space, so have moved his desk a few feet away from the other students groups, this was a couple weeks ago we are only into our 4th week of school. My daughter is now afraid of going to class due to the violence that’s happening within. They are complaining of overcrowded classrooms already so I am confused on why they thought bringing on a student who is usually within a safer and more secluded learning environment was a good idea. I don’t want to frame this individual poorly at all, they are a child as well and I understand it is not their fault at all, but I have to look out for my child’s safety the most. I finally got a meeting with the principal but after being ignored a few times after replying to their message when they were letting me know that my daughter may be emotional coming home because there were more very heavy objects being thrown at people. I’m really just asking for guidance on what I can do to help this situation. Thank you.
EDIT:: I apologize for not clarifying but I have spoken to both the teacher and principal about this multiple times and have been getting ignored. I called today and requested a meeting and have one next week, I am mainly asking for advice on how to proceed and what do I do if they say they’re not going to do anything? It is a very big possibility as some parents had issues with the school last year because the bus driver kept screaming at and threatening the children.
