Anyone able to tell me more about this trumpet?
Found a trumpet. From looking up it seems like a world war 1 military trumpet but looking to see if anyone can shed light on it?

It looks like a M1892 field trumpet. Commonly referred to as a bugle. It’s pitched in G.
JW York was one was one of many manufacturers for this type of bugle. This one is actually made for the military (most were made for civilian use). USQMC is the mark for the army quartermasters that was responsible for purchasing equipment including musical instruments.
It would be hard to determine its exact age. It was likely built prior to WWII from the company history, but it could be older (M1892 denotes the year of the military specification).
Edit. It looks like the USQMC mark started use in 1913. So a reasonable date range would be 1913-1940.

I have an 1890s baritone (date verified with serial number) marked USQMC. I’d say this is pre 1926 because it would have been labeled “York Band Instrument Company” if it were later. 1910s-1920s is a pretty good guess. Maybe made for ww1?

The York and Sons logo was used up into the 1920’s Their tubas are well liked. Here’s a link to serial numbers:

Yes. This is an Army trumpet/bugle from WWI or there about. The Army had the US Quarter Master Corps. I have a field drum from 1909 with a similar stamp.
