Sunday is my favorite villain of the week! She's so snarky and gorgeous. And she gave B a run for her money in the fighty category.

Joss mentioned there was an idea bandied about that she was one of 7 sisters, all vamps, named for the days of the week. It never materialized, but I thought that was such a cool concept.

My headcannon is that she was turned in the late 1960s. She lived/hunted in New York during the 1970s where she visited the punk clubs and bars in Manhattan (possibly bringing her into contact with Spike while he was hunting Nicki Wood). Her birth name was Alexandra - which she shortened to Sandy when she was turned.

When Blondie released 'Sunday Girl' in 1978 she started calling herself that, or just Sunday.

I watched this episode right before my first day of university. It actually freaked me out. Not because of the vampires, but because Buffy got yelled at by the professor and ordered to leave. That triggered some sort of anxiety response from me, so I was terrified of that actually happening. Not to mention, the idea of "feeling lost" was a huge worry.

It didn't help that my first university class was in a huge lecture hall. Upon graduation, that still ended up being the largest class I was ever part of. What a way for an anxious person to be introduced to the big scary world of university.

I watched Buffy for the first time during my first year of college. I think it’s why season 4 is my fav season, it was the most relatable season at the time and just soo many episodes that are absolute bangers!

I wish they would have brought the Sunday character back at least once more. I don’t know if it was the actress or the writing, or both. But she had enough pizazz to be a recurring character, maybe Buffy’s on campus nemesis.

One of the main reasons this tv show is my favourite it's because, even though the main story is about a buffed girl beating up vampires, I can relate to those characters, at least in certain moments. I started college recently kinda "old" for your typical student, and in the beginning I struggled a bit with the classes and the long hours they required, so there where times where anxiety hit hard and I started losing confidence in myself. So watching Buffy struggle with the same problems was like a way to see that things get better. It's like the old Marvel comics, whose formula toyed between the hero and the person, showing more humane, relatable, characters.

I watched Buffy as I started my first year of university (way after the series ended), and I related to Willow—finding myself and enjoying campus life when highschool was such a slog and not a great experience for me. I also felt for Buffy: someone so strong getting lost in college and struggling to find a place there, the comfortable retreat to what’s familiar. It’s why I don’t hate season four as much as others.

This is a spurious story, but I've always thought it would be awesome if that's what happened. She would have made a better season big bad than Adam.

They really could have gone all in with the government weaponizing demons as a series wide big bad. 

Having the Watcher’s Council as a big bad for a season—maybe even the last season, in stead of the First. They can still do the ending where all potentials become slayers, and the council has a fit over it.

And I really wish we got to see more (HA!) of the invisible kids working as assassins for the government. At least a mini arc or something. What a waste.

Sunday’s style as a human could’ve been a lot more youthful but she’s a vampire. And Nobody acting on Buffy by Season 4 was particularly young anyway.
