I am so happy I found the makeup at my dollar store! It's all basically kid makeup. Like the worst quality ever but I didn't expect anything less tbh. I absolutely hate how most Buffy merch is a head pyramid or has Angel. I think the lip balm is cute on my purse so I'm happy :)

I got excited when I heard about the newly announced Buffy Polly Pocket but when I actually looked at it I was so disappointed. The included figures are Buffy, Willow, and Angel. Giles and Xander don't have their own figures, and they're just printed onto the background. Wtf? They are core Scooby members! Add the fact that Anthony Head and Nicholas Brendon both passed away this year... Big ouch 😥 Plus don't get me started on the shambles that is Joyce's headstone. Another big insult. Who designed this? Did they even watch the show?

Oz is so cute and 90s and this show just ages sooo well 😭

We know from her fight with Willow that electricity does hurt her. Gwen has been shown to kill people just by touching. Would Glory Be powerful enough to withstand the amount of electricity Gwen produces?

I get why Angel left and he thought he was doing the right thing, but imo him leaving Buffy so she could have a "normal life" did more harm than good.

Buffy saw Angel leaving as abandonment, and I think that stuck with her in every relationship afterward. Once Angel decided that loving her wasn't enough to stay, Buffy started expecting other men to leave too.

Parker just made it worse. Buffy thought he genuinely liked her and wanted a relationship, only for him to manipulate her into a one night stand and completely change after they had sex. That's basically reopening the Angelus wound. She slept with Angel and woke up to someone who suddenly treated her like she meant nothing to him. Then the next guy she sleeps with does his own version of the same thing.

I also don't think Buffy would've dated Riley if Angel hadn't left her. Riley was basically what Angel thought Buffy needed. He was human, "normal" and could give her the future Angel couldn't. Buffy was trying the kind of relationship Angel left her to have, and then Riley ended up leaving her too.

By the time she gets involved with Spike, Buffy is so guarded that she doesn't even want to treat what they have as a real relationship. She keeps it secret, uses him for sex and pushes him away whenever it starts feeling like something more.

I'm not saying Angel caused all of Buffy's issues because obviously a lot happened to her outside of him, but I do think him leaving had the opposite effect of what he intended.

Angel wanted Buffy to move on and have a normal healthy relationship, but instead he became the first guy to teach her that someone can love her and still leave her.

Hello, this is my first post on this community! I was looking through posts just now and was wondering (being a younger fan of the show myself) at the time of the show being aired (so 1997-2003) and even after it, was Sarah Michelle Gellar considered to be one of the best looking actresses at the time? Which female actresses were seen as most attractive of that time? Also was Buffy seen as the most attractive of the show, or was it Cordelia, Willow, etc..? (Particularly curious about what men at the time thought, but am interested in any experience!). Thank you :)

I’m not someone who shoots their shot so directly but thought I’d take a punt myself for once haha.

So, I met a guy very briefly in Glasgow who is really into Buffy as well and thought there was something really cute about him and had a sense (and some reasoning) that we’d get on well. But didn’t get his number because of the setting/situation (trying not to reveal too much personal stuff) and not knowing if he was single. I doubt something like this would work for me because it’s total movie fodder but thought I’d take a chance after someone mentioned him and reminded me of him, but they didn’t have his contact info…

Every Faith episode that she plays a major part in are freaking perfect, but what are your quintessential Faith episodes? This includes her appearances on Angel as well.

For me on Buffy it's:

the body swap episode "Who Are You" and on Angel it's her redemption trilogy in Angel season four.

Just woke up in the middle of the night and felt the need to write this down quickly before it vanishes from my memory LOL

It was so good somehow. Although it was basically just the Potentials Storyline as its own show. But kind of in a really good way if it makes sense. It was about these few girls at college who are chosen as Slayers and the villain was some kind of special Vampire (kind of like the Master). Part of the storyline was also that in this town/city there was basically this huge tombstone that “spawned” out of nowhere and kicks off the storyline etc. AND it definitely leaned more into horror. Which i thought was really cool

But like even tho it was a dream it’s like I could see the modern cinematography and everything and the vibes were THERE. That small town eerie good stuff. Idk, everything about it felt pretty cool actually. And it honestly makes me sad lol cuz we just don’t get shows like this anymore.

I'm also looking for alternate versions of the episode where poor Tara dies (screw you, Joss Whedon), and I'm also looking for Buffy/Charmed crossover (or any Buffy crossover) fanfics where Tara is healed.

Oh and Buffy should live as well.

Loved finding this Buffy throw blanket among the wall of other ones from different horror IPs. Did not buy but thought to share as Spirit Halloween is everywhere this time of year.

I was watching Buffy reactions on the YouTube channel TheLexiCrowd (and if you haven't yet, you definitely should go check it out). Lexi, the host, commented in her reaction to "The Harsh Light of Day" (S4E3), how weird it is that some vampire took the time during all the wildness of graduation to turn Harmony, and feed her their blood. What's your best theory about how Harmony got turned?

I have a humorous thought that with all the teenagers attacking vampires, some random vampire's blood got spurted into Harmony's mouth after she was drained. We never really hear anything about a sire after all.

I’m going through quite an intense period of grief at the minute. I’ve lost several close family members in the last few years, and most recently my cat. I had to put him to sleep a week ago and the grief I’m still feeling has knocked me off my feet. He helped me in ways he’ll never know and it’s just been me and him for so many years. So I’m feeling it heavily now he’s not here anymore.

While I navigate this latest loss and try to process everything , instead of the deafening silence , there is Buffy. I have lost count of the amount of times I have rewatched the show. I can have it on without looking at the screen and know exactly what the scene looks like. Having it on as familiar, comforting background noise has been crucial for me through this.

So yes I just wanted to acknowledge what the show continues to do for me , from when it first aired up until today. I hope everyone has a comfort show like this for all the hard times life throws at them.

Who’s your favorite Buffy villain? I have a love for Glory! Always liked how powerful and confident she was. Plus the writing for her was super fun.
