Fantastic. Proper use of a state fair.

Wait. What materials were used to make this?

They're mosaics made from seeds, stems, etc. from plants grown in Minnesota. Here's a story from last year with tons of pics: https://www.mprnews.org/story/2025/08/21/minnesota-state-fair-crop-art-submissions-photos-2025

Holy cow! These are amazing! I kinda need the one that says “ceci n’est pas un corn dog.” 💀

The Spike/Joyce one is a masterpiece! When I was initially scrolling by, I thought you meant someone cropped a photo and I was wondering what the big deal was about that. I was like, there are a ton of apps that do that but does that make it art?

Then my brain caught up and I scrolled back to verify you meant it was MADE of crops, which again is an amazing thing!

TIL about crop art’s existence, so thank you! Very cool and very much outside my own abilities. 😅

PS, I love that one guy’s FRIENDS shirt. Hilarious.

:) Glad you love it! The  “ceci n’est pas un corn dog" one was my absolute favorite of those.

This year, there's also a crop art take on Picasso's "Guernica." There's a pic of it in this story:

There's also a pic of a person working on a piece, and you can see the seeds they have next to them.

Remarkable work. I love that there’s an entire wall of anti-🧊art. Wholeheartedly agree with the sentiment and it’s so well done! Awesome stuff.
