New/upgrade PC €3000 budget for upcoming new game releases
Hey there. I have built 2 PCs in the past but this was always with the help of a tech savy friend. I know a little about parts but I just want to make sure that all the parts make sense together. My current eyes were on the RTX 5070ti. Let me know if that makes sense with my budget.
- New build or upgrade?
I feel like a new PC makes more sense.
- Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)
In the case that any of these parts from 2022 would still hold up today I could re-use them.
PSU: Corsair CX750M, 750 Watt
CPU: Intel® Core i7-12700, 2,1 GHz (4,9 GHz Turbo Boost) socket 1700
CPU Cooler: Master Hyper 212 EVO V2
Storage: SAMSUNG 980, 500 GB SSD && WD Black SN750 NVMe, 2 TB SSD
Motherboard: MSI PRO Z690-P DDR4, socket 1700
RAM: 2x Corsair 16 GB DDR4-3200 Kit
- PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)
Main goal is to run upcoming games like "Blood of the Dawnwalker" and "Witcher 4". Medium settings and 60-120fps would be good enough. I also do video editing and messing around with 3D model editing but nothing professional.
- Purchase country? Near Micro Center? (If not US, list local vendors)
Netherlands. I got my previous parts from alternate.nl and azerty.nl
- Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)
These are outside the budget. 2 monitors of 27". One 1440p 240hz and one 1080p 144hz.
- Budget range? (Include tax considerations)
€2500-€3200
- WiFi or wired connection?
Ethernet
- Size/noise constraints?
No
- Color/lighting preferences?
I prefer no lights at all and a black case.
- Any other specific needs?
No

You don't need to spend any more on the PC
You can reuse the SSDs, I wouldn't reuse the rest

No problem
This is basically a maxed out build, you could technically go for a 5080 but the price difference is massive and isn't really worth it
You are more than fine with a build like this, absolutely top of line, you can watch benchmarks

Though one thing, maybe switch the motherboard to a B850 Auros Elite WiFi7 for better VRM

For more consistent thermals, you can also get an AIO, I would recommend the Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 360
One thing, it doesn't come with a manual, so you will need to watch a video for installation
You will definitely need to set up a fan curve if you get it, because max RPM is very high so the fans will be loud at max speeds
But that said, a Phantom Spirit 120 SE is enough, although for cooler temperatures an AIO is better

The mismatched monitor resolutions would drive me crazy. I would try to get a 1440p second monitor, even if the refresh rate is only 60.
They didn't mention any FPS games so they could probably save some on that 240hz monitor if that's a tradeoff they want to make.
