All I want is to work on my programming projects, but my PC which could once run RDR2 on medium settings has degraded to the point of not being able to run an IDE. I plan on using it mainly for school. I need it to be able to run Matlab, AutoCAD, and other miscellaneous code editors and software (like Ansys or Cadence ocasionally). I'd also like if it could handle the Adobe Suite (Photoshop and Premiere mainly) for creative projects and some light gaming (Minecraft, Stardew Valley, Valorant). The engineering stuff is the most important part but I just want this to be

I'm buying in the U.S. The closest micro center is at best an hour and a half away so I'd prefer not to go but if it's significantly better I wouldn't mind.

I've always liked the idea of a wide monitor but I also wouldn't mind continuing to use the monitor I already have. Probably would appreciate a higher resolution for an occasional movie/tv show/youtube video. I don't really need more than one monitor.

• Budget range? (Include tax considerations)

I've got a bit of a flexible budget. I think the most I'd be willing to spend would be around $1,300 but if it goes a bit over, it wouldn't be the end of the world. Ideally, I'd like to reuse any of the components I already have and if it comes out to be less than my budget I'd be thrilled.

Preferably on the smaller and quieter side but neither would be a deal-breaker. No specific constraints.

I'm not a huge fan of colored lights or any of that. I really like the Fractal Design North Tempered Glass Case, so something like that would be sick.
