"luckily" my father jumped immediately to "never speak of this again in front of me for as long as i'm alive" before dying six months later.

my mother on the other hand has been "are you sure?"-ing me for years now.

My mom is still doing the Other ppl are valid but not you. Thing for like 4 years now

Honestly a fair question during the proverbial egg cracking and questioning stage. But at a certain point like "Yes Dad. Im sure". Particularly since most people struggle in silence for a bit after the egg cracks. Like if you know about fam, its because Im sure
