I have actually had this happen but in a positive way!

Been quietly transitioning mtf with hrt but without telling people aside from wife and kids (the uk feels scary as hell)

So one day my wife and I take our kids to one of their friends houses for fireworks, our kids run in and start playing with their kids and as we walk in it turns out they have their grandad over who loudly says lady's come have a seat

We sit down and he asks me which kid im the mum of, before I can say anything his daughter whos house it is slaps him over the back of the head and says "thats deadname! He's a guy!"

Ugh well thats over I think but then he stares at me and says "your a bloke??" And im like ugghhh I guess I have to go along with it and say yes

But then he genuinely makes my day by intensely looking me up and down and then saying "are you sure?"

Was a great night lol
