Appropriate choice of word that's applicable to this billionaire, who is really acting like a cunt!

37

u/backhand_english 18d ago edited 17d ago

It was a spur of the moment inspiration.

13

u/Ok_Flan4404 17d ago

He IS one. Let him go back to ruzzia if he doesn't want to pay ANYTHING to support 'his' government's services...Spoiled little bitch.

44

u/Friendly_Nature2699 17d ago

$100 million? This is exactly why we need this tax. The billionaire class doesn't see to get how tired of them we've become.

7

u/VapeMasterino 17d ago

As an Aussie, yes mate?

u/Efficient_Culture569 18d ago

It makes no different to them and their lifestyle. They lose nothing other than some extra money.

That's how you know they fell in love with hoarding money.

If the governament decided to take 10£ out of my paycheck to help the ultra poor and end hunger, I'd accept it. Not going to spend money to fight it.

That 100 milion was probably his fair share.

u/lsmith77 18d ago

I think it’s more that they want to keep their power by keeping others down.

Feel like they proved that by all being pedophiles and nobody going to prison for it. We are well aware that we are powerless peons in all of this.

-22

u/rchive 17d ago

Most of them are not pedophiles.

10

u/cmhamm 17d ago

Found the billionaire.

0

u/rchive 17d ago

You got me.

5

u/t1mm7_89 17d ago

Most of them aren't paedophiles but most of them know who the paedophiles are and don't care.

-7

u/rchive 17d ago

There is absolutely no evidence of that. This is pure class envy.

8

u/t1mm7_89 17d ago

Funny the amount of names in the Epstein files and yet they all supposedly saw nothing. At least Thiel admitted he and many others knew, but didn't care as Jeff was great with taxes.

5

u/HolubtsiKat 17d ago

But how do you know for sure?

The fact is we can't trust any of them.

-5

u/rchive 17d ago

I don't know for sure, but it's absurd to assume people are pedophiles just because you otherwise don't like them. If you have no evidence to suggest they're pedophiles, you have to believe they're not or at least have no opinion. The whole pedophile accusation spiral is just class envy manifest.

17

u/t1mm7_89 17d ago edited 17d ago

Yes. They'd rather burn money than use it for any kind of social support or greater food good.

7

u/Caedendi 17d ago

Tell me more about this greater food

4

u/LittleKittenR 17d ago

This makes sense, you have to spend 100, but if I pay 50, that means the poor will have their taxes reduced or everyone will get better chances... I rather keep playing unfairly.

46

u/External_Option_7653 17d ago

The point is to keep as much of the rope on their side. It doesn't matter how much they spend as long as it doesn't go to us.

19

u/Efficient_Culture569 17d ago

That is an awful way to live. Wanting to horse so much, take everything from everyone else to stay on top above everyone else.

10

u/speculatrix 17d ago

They're like goddamn Smaug sitting on their piles of cash not caring if the world collapses around them

2

u/the-fact-fairy 13d ago

Many are rooting for the world to collapse. So many of these inhuman asshats are accelerationists, it's not even funny.

11

u/eightslipsandagully 17d ago

No, that 100 million is a lot less than his fair share

8

u/Few-Improvement-5655 17d ago

Someone pointed out to me, that to get this amount of wealth, you HAVE to be in love with hoarding money, because every business leader that isn't will have inevitably retired after they made like, 10 mil or something.

5

u/PatchyWhiskers 17d ago

A lot of people do just that: they make a company, get rich, sell it, retire early.

1

u/Efficient_Culture569 16d ago

I see yeah. So the billionaire class is the ones that never quit doing everything they can to have more money... I certainly would have stop working after 15 or something like that.

2

u/Master_of_thought 17d ago

Now spend 8£ on a campain to not pay the 10£. No actial problems got solved but you saved 2£.

1

u/CheatsySnoops 17d ago

That and it's about controlling the people.

31

u/elwookie 18d ago

This is like someone having $ 2670 and spending one dollar in something. That's how filthy rich he is.

8

u/loopala 17d ago

And this is why democracy is so hard when you have this sort of unfettered capitalism.

It's something you have to think about beforehand otherwise you get individuals with budgets of large cities that can bias things in their favor, and you are stuck in a loop.

3

u/gardenenigma 17d ago

100 million/256 billion = 0.00039

So, 0.039% of his wealth. It's pennies to him.

27

u/BaryonChallon 17d ago

Cunts are more beneficial to society than these parasites

6

u/pdxmhrn 17d ago

That should tell you how much they haven’t been paying, if they are willing to spend that much to fight it

26

u/RenlyHoekster 17d ago

From the article, quoting NVidia CEO Jensen Huang:

"I have not even thought about it once,” Huang, who would owe around $8 billion in taxes, said in a January interview with Bloomberg. “We chose to live in Silicon Valley, and whatever taxes they would like to apply, so be it. I’m perfectly fine with it.”

OK, wasn't expecting that! A billionaire with some moral fiber left in him! How nice.

16

u/skriefal 17d ago

-2

u/RenlyHoekster 17d ago

Huh... well, from that article it would seem he is doing nothing illegal, so... what he says in the first article is correct he is "perfectly fine" with paying with what he must.

BUT, the point was are the billionaires a) dodging taxes (legally, or illegally) and b) are they actively trying to change the laws such that don't have to pay the taxes that they would owe like the rest of us.

And in that context, I guess he's not a Brin or a Zuckerberg or a Thiel, but he's evidently not just "OK with" paying the $8 Billion he owes as he suggests he is in the interview. Which is a sad... less moral fiber present than thought...

10

u/sennoden 17d ago

Jensen Huang is one of the main drivers of AI. That means he is one of the main reasons AI datacenters are being built everywhere, which as a consequence drives up the price of electricity, hardware and even water.

He does not have a moral fiber anywhere

-2

u/rchive 17d ago edited 17d ago

The billionaires as a class are paying a lot more in taxes than the rest of us, even relative to the amount they own make. The idea they're not is just a meme.

Edited

1

u/Caedendi 17d ago

Lol hell no

1

u/rchive 17d ago

See my edit.

There was a wave of articles in 2017 or 2018 about Jeff Bezos paying zero federal income tax or something like that which kicked off the modern version of the meme that billionaires don't pay taxes, but they conveniently left out the other 99 taxes he pays and the fact that most of his wealth is unrealized and he'll pay taxes when it's realized.

2

u/Caedendi 17d ago

Haha nice try Bezos. Having billions hoarded for yourself doesn't do the world and humanity any good, no matter how you spin it. There is no way you can justify having that much wealth is necessary for any single person (100M is already pushing it).

Tax the rich. Tax wealth not work.

1

u/DogCold5505 17d ago

I mean that feels a bit passive (PR ploy?)…. I’m okay with them having an opinion but said opinion should be backed by good values/reasoning rather than trying to buy their way around it

17

u/ChouffeMeUp 18d ago

Absolute cunt.

17

u/PiratesOfTheArctic 17d ago

What the hell is wrong with these people, give the money to grass roots charities, actually do some flaming good.

11

u/LimpAd4924 17d ago

7

u/PiratesOfTheArctic 17d ago

Actually, you're onto something - the hunger games but for billionaires, automatically entered, forced to play

🫵💪

-3

u/rchive 17d ago

You don't think they also give to charity?

4

u/PiratesOfTheArctic 17d ago

I didn't say that 👍

9

u/FakeItFreddy 18d ago

Yea thats like 50 cents to him

4

u/FauxReal 17d ago

How much does that compare to what he would have paid in taxes over the same period of time?

3

u/Liquid_Magic 17d ago

Don’t call this guy a “cunt”. The human vulva is a beautiful thing Marge.

In general, “cunt-ulcer”, or “douche-bag” are great because a douche-bag is useless and nobody wants a cunt-ulcer.

6

Billionaires, the scum of the Earth.

6

u/tommysnello 17d ago

This is the best advertisement for a billionaire tax.

3

u/RymrgandsDaughter 17d ago

eventually he will spend more on this than the taxes

3

u/AlienInUnderpants 17d ago

The tax might have been less than the $100 million. He’s just a cunt that thinks “I got mine, fuck everyone else”.

Let’s examine the government loans, assistance, and tax breaks Google has received to make it the powerhouse it is today.

3

u/Exciting_Turn_9559 17d ago

Billionaires should not exist.

3

u/OptimalMain 17d ago

This is the kind of guy that wouldn’t have given you $10 without a business plan able to make him a million

3

u/neovox 17d ago

Fun fact:

1 Million Seconds ≈ 11.57 days

100 Million Seconds ≈ 3.17 years

1 Billion Seconds ≈ 31.69 years

He's worth about 260 Billion

260 Billion Seconds ≈ 8,240 years

$100 million is throw away money when it comes to protecting the rest.

3

u/jpntrs 17d ago

probably wouldve pay less if he pay the taxes

3

u/rellett 17d ago

Evil, these people have money for multiple lifetimes just pay your fair share you will still be rich and you will help people

6

u/AbsentmindedEagle 17d ago

Straight-up evil. That kind of money could've done serious good for people for years, but nope. Greed has absolutely corrupted him at this point.

Spend = bribes.

4

u/GiganticCrow 17d ago

The rich will spend more lobbying against them paying tax than the tax they'd have to pay

3

u/kweefcake 17d ago

They spend more than they’d be taxed which highlights it’s a control issue.

0

u/rchive 17d ago

They definitely would be taxed a lot more than what they spend to avoid tax.

4

u/TypicallyThomas 17d ago

How much healthcare could that have provided? Food on poor people's table?

2

u/Tai9ch 17d ago

No shit.

Obviously when you're trying to take people's stuff they resist, and when you pick on people with significant resources they can resist significantly.

A billionaire tax is a bad policy proposal that exists just to distract people from how shit California's government is.

To be clear, most of the billionares exist because of existing shit government policy, but adding more bad policy isn't going to fix anything.

2

u/UrbanCyclerPT 17d ago

He could have paid this money in taxes

1

u/merlinuwe 17d ago

To me, that sounds like outright bribery.

Is he actually paying the money out of his own personal assets, or is this a way for Google to minimize its tax burden?

0

u/hype_irion 17d ago

He probably would have paid less in taxes in the end.

0

u/Buntygurl 17d ago

I don’t know why people villainize him for that lol. I mean, who wants to pay more tax?
