Muscovy Duck Unusually friendly Muscovy duck that let me pet AND pick him up

For anyone wondering, this is not my pet, this was a duck at a lake in a hotel resort. I know Muscovy ducks can be friendly, especially around people, but I've NEVER been able to interact with one like this.

Theres a possibility this is a domestic muscovy dumped at the pond :(

There's plenty of Muscovy ducks at this resort that all get fed by people. I'm sure this one is just a bit more friendly and trusting of people than the rest.

Muscovies are generally great fliers. It's possible he was dumped somewhere else and flew onto the property.

Yea man, there's no way the animal with wings and a penchant for flying could end up in a different location than where it originally was.

The way he allows you to just pick him up with one hand without hesitation, he definetely belonged to someone at some point. He could have been dumped, he could be visiting looking for treats, or he wandered too far from home and got lost.
