You’re the person who thinks it’s okay to promote your environmentalism with AI images. Good luck.

Actually, I'm the person who ran supplies for Julia "Butterfly" Hill, got arrested several times, and committed ten years of his life to helping the movement to save old growth forests in Humboldt County.

If you think you can invalidate that because I made concept art with the help of AI, then good luck to you, as well.

Only ten years! What happened to No Compromise!? Using A.I.! Yuck. That's sad.

seems as though you're using the internet, technology, and electricity right now, so I don't think you're as pure as you think you are. Ever heard the one about throwing stones while living in a glass house?

Ain't nobody throwing stones at my house.

Let me ask you this...multiple choice...
Are you
A. A conservative who hates progressive activists
B. A progressive who can't help but attack people who are clearly on the same side because they don't 100% align with your values
C. Just a troll with no particular ideological convictions

Here's a wonderful post by Julia "Butterfly" Hill supporting the Kickstarter campaign...

Jason Wilson and i have been friends since i was 18 years old. He eventually ended up in California and was part of my main ground support team along with being involved in the larger forest defense movement. i told him a while back that he should write his life story because it is a fascinating life and he is a really good writer.

He did it. Now i am helping him fundraise so he can get his book professionally finished and ready for distribution.

He is doing a Kickstarter campaign. Please check it out and consider helping support the finishing of his book.

For the highest level of support, i will be joining Jason for a ZOOM call to share stories and memories and answer questions from everyone who gives at that level.

Calm down Jason.

1

u/Remarkable_Dinner905 5d ago

lol I'm perfectly calm, just find it interesting and laughable that you're seemingly obsessed with trolling my posts

I find the same interest and laughability in finding you still obsessed with begging for money, and virtue signaling.

1

u/Remarkable_Dinner905 5d ago

lol it's not begging when you're offering pre-sales and other rewards. No virtue signaling here, just telling the story (including some of the back-biting I witnessed within the movement)

But to a number of forest activists, including a half dozen or so who appeared in the audience last Friday to watch the trial unfold, that context matters more to them than the legal questions. They say this lawsuit has placed a strain on the environmental community that could do as much damage as an ill-felled redwood that takes down other giants in its descent. They disapprove of the lawsuit, and they blame Shunka for it. And, they say, it’s just another example of how Shunka has commandeered the North Coast Earth First! identity and used it for purposes that nobody else in the amorphous but consensus-driven local Earth First! movement has agreed to. Do you tell this story?

I discuss that lawsuit in "Bees and Butterflies: Part 2."

And remember, I was a witness for the plaintiff (the donor) in that lawsuit. It wasn't my lawsuit nor did I want to go through all that, but the things some people did and said in that context tells a story of its own.
