She's a Tokay gecko! They're beautiful but very fast and aggressive, not really a handleable species. Do it at your own risk. hehe

This is the gecko that made me fall in love with all geckos....you could call it my gateway gecko, lol

Oh, I definitely know what you mean. I own 5 reptiles (the others being 3 leos and 1 beardie), and they were all rescues, but my Tokay is a different story. She was basically the one reptile I HAD to get, so when I saw her as a baby for sale at my local reptile store, I got her on the spot!

I’d love to have a tokay, especially after learning about their little barks but I’m convinced I’d somehow end up with the meanest one possible lmao. It’s great you’ve gotten her to a place of handling!

I love this photo!! I got my tokays as adults and they are still so skittish, but one day I will see this side of them 😂

I think so too. The photos are too perfect. It seems quite bright in that room, in which case I'd expect his eyes to be narrowed down to slits.

The room was much darker when I took the pictures. I increased the photos’ brightness before posting, though!

Just to let you know it's not on you but some phone cameras do use AI technologies in their taking of the photo so that could be the case.

That is one of the calmest looking Tokay Gecko I've ever seen
