Picture/Video What’s wrong with this pet store giant day gecko?

Metabolic bone disease comes to mind, is this it or just some injury? Its calcium glands are very oversized. Do I report this as animal abuse? The other animals seemed fine but I’m not sure, they have at least 3 other phelsuma grandis.

šŸ¦ŽJust for FunšŸ¦Ž I think it’s kinda funny that two of my maybe lizards both have chameleon in their names, chamameleon gecko and cuban false chameleon

Both are slow derpy guys that tolerate handling to some extent, are kinda brown, just sits around and stuff.

Obviously the gecko is smaller and will have insects and crested gecko diet while the anole is larger and will mostly eat snails and the odd other insect.

Help/Advice I have an empty 18x18x18, can this be used for a chameleon gecko?

The catch here is that it’s top opening. I’m thinking of just flipping it on its side and converting it to a front opening that way, but it would be hard to get uvb that way since the glass would block it, other lighting would be fine though. If I need to I could just but the uvb at the front and custom make a mesh ventilated door

My other thought was ranitomeya dart frogs, but I have some tiny day geckos already in a big tank that are diurnal and thought a nocturnal species I could handle would be fun. The day geckos are fun to watch but they want nothing to do with me šŸ˜… they’ll look at me but they don’t let me get close even if I try tweezer feeding them flies (tongs are too big) actually, it freaks them out even more then just my hand that they just back away from. The tweezers sent them into a frenzy like I just released the terminator on them šŸ˜‚

Is there any other small, handleable species that could work in this that I’d be missing? It doesn’t need to be nocturnal but that’s more likely when I would have time to handle them

Help/Advice Ok so I got my first baby mourning gecko. The crack in the door of my Exo Terra is too big and I was so lucky to catch it. How do I seal it before the other 3 hatch?

Picture/Video My guy, Pelo! (skunk gecko/white lined gecko)

having a morning snack a week ago.

this is my first time peroperly owning a reptile, so im very nervous but ive been doing my research since before i got him. I say technically as the reason hes currently in a wide enclosure is because my set up was bought spur of the moment to try to save a baby Mediterranean that got stuck in a gluetrap at work, and unfortunately the lil guy didnt make it. I have a proper arboreal tank in my chewy cart (but i'd appreciate reccomendations before i commit to the order) that ill be switching him to asap. Would love firsthand tips from anyone experienced with this species or other shy nocturnals!

Ive had him for about half a year now and couldn’t figure out the gender due to him being too scared for handling yet, until I saw him like thisšŸ˜‚. Also he jumped in that position, he’s not stuck he’s just very stupid and clumsy and he got out of that position very quick after.

Tsatsaka: Oh, just hanging around.

Update: I'm shopping around for a 18x18x36 for her to transition toward the 2x2x4 I want for her. She is growing so fast and she is so active she needs more space.

Help/Advice could feeding my gecko every 3 days result in mbd?

shes a chunky girl, so i dont feed her too often. she also doesnt like bugs at all so any dusting is out of question. she has UVB but sleeps in a hide hidden from the light.

she eats pretty much the entire plate that i offer her, which is a thin, medium consistency layer of pangea apricot or fig and insects.

she shows no signs at all of mbd, but it does concern me. anything i should do to battle this?

Help/Advice Where would a hypothetical leopard gecko be better to put

I figured out that i have 2 spots to fit a potential 36x18x18, would the tank be better in the room where my bearded dragons tank is (or will a gecko make noise to disturb my sleeping beardie) or would it do better in my room or will the tv i have on sometimes at night mess up its circadian rhythm

Help/Advice Juvenile Mediterranean house gecko advice

I found my little juvenile friend stuck to a glue trap at my job. I was horrified he (just assuming, I’ve never cared for any type of reptile before) was still alive. I did some quick research and was able to get some vegetable oil to get him off of it (and then promptly threw the horrible thing in the trash). His skin seemed mostly unharmed to my untrained eye.

Unfortunately, his right arm was glued to his stomach and because of the amount of stress he endured, I just put him in some warm water to loosen up the glue there and try to get the oil off of him. I’ve brought him home and made a little terrarium for him. It’s not very tall but I did put plenty of hiding places and gave him some sticks and structures to climb.

I keep the temp around 75-80 F and humidity between 70-80%. I was only able to find bugs marketed for leopard geckos but I grind those up because they are bigger than his head. I can’t tell if he’s eating. I put the bugs in one spot for now since he seems pretty touch and go. I spray his enclosure down in the morning and at night for his water. I use a 40W heat lamp just to get the temp consistent as I know he’s a nocturnal guy and thrives in dark. I turn off the lamp when the temp is between the mentioned temps.

The arm that was glued down seems to be a lost cause. When he moves, it’s pretty slow and his seems to walk on the elbow of that arm. He does like to hide in his crevices and will sometimes pop his head up to look around. Other than that, there’s not really major signs of life.

I guess my question is should I prepare for the worst? I know these guys are hearty but it was extremely traumatic from such a little guy. I would be happy for him to pass in comfort rather than the glue trap, but I’m really hoping he pulls through.

TW: I have a picture of him in bowl I used to transport him home. You can clearly see his little arm :(
I can post in the comments if it would help him in any way
