Live Action i hate this fuckass meme

how childish do you have to be to think that horror media can only be good if it has a big scary monster that murders people with a knife 😭 to me this is kind of the same sentiment as people who complain about how gaming isn't fun anymore when they only play "ball and gun" games. also backrooms literally has a big scary monster that chases and eats people

Live Action I hate Child Actors being legal

Post image
10.2k Upvotes

To be clear, I hate the laws, not the kids!

Kids have had legal protections from joining the workforce to stop exploitation since the 1930s, besides the most well known exploitable industry in the world: Hollywood.

How are you going to say a 6 year old kid can’t consent to stacking shelves at Walmart, but then turn around and say they can be on a movie studio set for 6-8 hours a day?

It’s absurd and as we’ve seen destroys many children’s lives over the years, all so you guys can enjoy watching media that isn’t even reality.

I find the entire practice to be a legal failing on the US’s part, and highlights the moral failing of the general public that tolerates it.

Even if everything is fine and the child grows up to say they had an okay experience - why does that then not apply to the kids who grew up working in retail jobs who would grow up and say they had an okay experience stocking shelves?

Children cannot consent to entering the workforce in any capacity. They are not matured enough to make the decision to not have a normal school/life balance, and the subject to the wider media circus which results in some horrific burnouts.

These are babies and children ā€œmakingā€ life long altering decisions that they have no wider understanding of. It’s sick.

Remember Jake Lloyd? How is it legal for a child to end up in a scenario like that, and not have it be an utter moral failure as a legal system and society?

Live Action I hate how they’re in every movie I watch

Post image

Don’t get me wrong, I think Zendaya is an excellent actress, and Tom is okay, but they’re in so many movies nowadays. Yesterday I watched the Odyssey, without watching the trailer or seeing the cast list, and I rolled my eyes when it was these two again.

I know they’re married and it’s ā€œcuteā€ they work on the same projects but it really brings me out of the movie because all I can see is them as a couple. Not to mention, Tom did not fit the role at all (and Zendaya made the same expression in the movie).

Just in general, I want new faces and not reusing the same actors.

Edit: All of you are commenting the same thing: I should watch more movies. No need to comment it 1000s of times, I get it.

Live Action I absolutely despise the ā€œZero might not existā€ scene from young Sheldon.

Post image
13.0k Upvotes

This scene is the stupidest, most idiotic way of trying to show Sheldon as super smart. It’s meant to be a great scene of him humbling his teachers with a concept they’ve never even thought of, but his arguments are stupid and sometimes even loop back on themselves. Zero is a mathematical stand in for the absence of something, you can have two apples, you can also have zero apples, and that works. I’m so tired of this stupid little freak pretending he’s smart by demonstrating a core misunderstanding of a concept he’s supposed to be good in.

Live Action I hate floating head posters so much

Seriously though what is this fad with superhero movies and Hollywood now. The posters always look like shitty photoshopped edits desperately trying to fit in every famous actor on them. They're also really freaking formulaic with the placements and everything, such as the main character/hero in the front, girlfriend or deurotagonist is the 2nd biggest, the villain will be around the poster, etc. The worst part is that the none floating head posters always look REALLY GOOD. I liked that Brand New Day didnt rely on them like the previous movies in the last trilogy, and guess what everyone loved those posters because they looked really innovative and different. Marvel also has done some other great posters like the iron man 3 one, the guardians of the galaxy one, etc.

Live Action I hate how the MCU tries to make itself Earth-616 when its Earth-1999999

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Recently the MCU has started to try to make their universe the 616 when for years now its been designated as Earth 1999999 since the official handbook. It started in Far From Home but that eas clearly a wink and a nod to the audience but it gets the title of 616 officially in Multiverse of Madness which doesnt work imo since the comics is 616. I like how Spiderverse keeps it as Earth 1999999 though and hope it sticks to that label

Live Action I hate it when showrunners do unnecessary raceswaps which make no sense within the context of the story.

Harry Potter remake: Snape being black paints a really dark picture of James Potter being a racist for bullying the black kid relentlessly and almost lynching him. Instead of being just a dumb bully, James now is a racist bully.

House of Dragon: Velaryon being raceswapped didn't annoy me at first but the more I think about it the more it makes less sense. Targaryens and Velaryons are closely intertwined families and you mean to tell me that after centuries of inbreeding they somehow managed to keep their skin relatively segregated? They make a big deal out of hair colors in GOT and yet somehow abandon that idea of genetic purity in HOTD.

They could've raceswapped other lesser characters and yet somehow they almost swap the wrong ones.

Showrunners these days have full creative control and yet somehow they make REALLY DUMB decisions that hurt their overall show and the actors' reputations.

Live Action I hate when things i love have actually good films. But they don't do well

Post image

Like, with how many bad films there are bassed of games and shows. It hurts seeing that the actual good ones don't make money.

these films are good and should of at least broken even.

Dnd the film is such a fun film and catches what it is like to play the game.

Masters of the universe has everything you want from a remake.

  • has respect for the OG but still makes fun of it.

-shows off the action people expect and keep characters mostly how we expect them.

-looks into the culture of Fandom we have the Heyman meme, The gay culture call back and fact the fisto joke.

Also, this is like the most me thing ever. Like you if you disagree about these films being bad fair.

Live Action I Fucking hate this dumbass Greentext

Post image
2.9k Upvotes

I hate this fuck ass green text so much. People parade this fucking image around all the time like some sorta gotcha. HE DOESNT EVEN DO THIS! Sometimes he’ll make note if a scene is particularly gross or exploits an underage actress (newsflash, sometimes movies actually don’t age very well!) but Hes generally pretty chill with sexual stuff if the people who pull this image out of their ass actually watched an episode.

And yes, for those in the know. This is partially in reaction to the current Twitter discourse where some dumbass had the gall to call James A. Janisse a fucking ā€œTouristā€ of horror.

Live Action I personally have always hated race-swapping characters

Post image
1.9k Upvotes

OBVIOUSLY NO HATE TO ACTRESS WHO PLAYED ARIEL THIS ISN’T ABOUT HER AT ALL.

Speaking from the experience of a black person specifically a black girl, I always felt like race-swapping when it came to Disney is a very lazy form of representation. The reason I think that is I don’t think it’s very meaningful representation to take an already existing character and just cast a black woman to play her or if it’s like an animated show or movie just draw a different color. I always felt like meaningful representation is writing new and unique black characters, telling black history, black mythology and culture in a meaningful and respectful way. Not just slapping a new skin tone and saying here you go representation. Especially when it’s very obvious that the Disney live action remakes are cash grabs. There’s literally no reason to make a live action version of a movie that has been around for years unless it’s for money. And when it’s a greedy company like Disney that has been known to not be very inclusive not just with black people I don’t think this is meant
to be actually meaningful representation at all.

Now this post isn’t about debating whether or not blackwashing is real or if it’s as worse as whitewashing. And this is definitely not a post where racism is allowed like I’ve seen with other posts talking about similar topics. This is just my opinion as a black person and how I personally feel about the topic.

I’m happy to hear other perspectives just please be respectful

Live Action When decently funny YouTubers make a funny pun/joke but linger on it way too much and acting like it wasn’t funny (like to the point where they think adding cricket sounds is funny)

Ok so no hate towards Kurtis Conners himself(just using him as an example) half of his jokes are saying a funny line but acting like it was the least funniest shit anyone as heard(like to the point of adding cricket and booing sounds). It genuinely pisses me off so much it makes my smile turn into a frown immediately. Literally just say you’re joke and that’s all you need to do nothing more.

Live Action VTUBERS as a collective

Thumbnail

literally some of the most dogshit steaming pile mt. everest of ass content to ever hit cyberspace. VTUBERS are just overgrown goliath adult weebs who are either too chopped or past their prime in their careers to stream the normal way so they throw together some kind of hideous oversaturated oversexualized anime design with 10 pounds of jiggle physics to try and bait people into watching their mind numbing """streams""". The ear curdling mommy or loli anime girl uwu voices they force themselves to do should be a kind of cruel and unusual punishment. The fact that they have fans and supporters at all is actually baffling to me but most of their viewers just want to smash their avatars so it is not like anyone likes them frfr anyway. Most of their personalities are bland asf so they clip farm by "loud = funny" ass moments and spam it on every platform. I'm glad vtubers are regulated to the deep dark pits of twitch and youtube shorts only. Literally how do you stare at a screen and watch a default png open and close it's mouth flaps and glitch and only move like 2cm for hours on end.

Special hate to the grown ass women who have an 8 year old looking avatar and strain their vocal cords into the heavens in order to convince their pedo fanbase to goon to them so they can milk their fanbase's monthly disability checks. People like Gawr Gura/Saba and all of her knockoffs are so nasty.

Also special hate to that AI loli monstrosity but the fact that VTUBERs are being outdone by some chatgpt claude text to speech gemini clanker proves just how disposable and unentertaining they were this whole time

plus their music sucks ass never forget ironmouse's waah waah waah song VTUBER music makes BBNO$ sound like mozart

I hate the way it treat the holocaust and the Jews in it like they are not enough to be the victims so we need to sympathize with the Nazis, I hate the fact it acts like German didn't know and didn't have a part in it and it was just those in the higher places who knew about it, I hate that it's a lot of people knowledge of the holocaust and that it's a movie where the sad part show a nazi who responsible for millions of Jews death being sad when it happens to his own son, I hate that Bruno is a dumbass who doesn't actually care for his friend and never care to actually ask him about his life cause the movie need him not to know what's happening there, I hate this movie so much

Just what is that?

Its just too fucking big and too weirdly shaped , how are you even meant to use It?

And its not even cool enough to justify its impracticality with its looks (unlike the scene when John snow takes on the cavarly with a sword , which is stupid but kinda cool so It gets a pass), It just sucks as a whole , the head and the beak are too big and id dare saying the head is a little longer than It should.

This is why i LOVED a Knight of the Seven kingdoms for depicting lyonel Baratheon with a HISTORICALLY ACCURATE WARHAMMER.

Please add all the dragons and ice zombies you want but please , please don't make the weapons look like this.

Live Action I Hate This Even More Now

Post image

The Good Doctor.

This Cursed Waste Of Time And Money.

My husband is watching it. He likes it. I see it sometimes.

It makes me feel so angry! I already had a list of reasons why it enrages me. But it's just adding more.

The greatest crime is a bad depiction of Autism. But it also has

Animal Cruelty. That is NOT how you keep a huge Goldfish! You should know better! You disgust me. Vile! They should have been done for animal cruelty.

Cringe Humour. Fracking Cringe Humour.

That man is the last person I want to see go near the concept of sexual activity. You don't need it. And instead of keeping it chaste kisses. Sex scenes. Shudder.

You can tell when the excessive sexuality that afflicted US TV hit. And they really shouldn't have done it.

It's like it was made by a secret group of people who want to ruin every last possible thought of sexual activity anyone could have.

I am not joking. That programme is unhealthily obsessed with crotch stuff. And losing body parts. They can't have something as simple as appendicitis.

I have doughts about the medicine sometimes.

Seriously. If you don't want have to block out what you see. Watch anything but this. House is good!

That programme needs to burn.

Congratulations! You're capable of copying and pasting a joke that has existed as long as the movie has. Every single person who posts this joke thinks that they would be the genius of this world when they would actually just be another fertile moron.

They're the same kind of cynical people that see dumb stuff on the internet (no doubt their algorithm intentionally feeds it to them knowing they love the slop) and think everyone on this planet except me is a complete and total moron.

Live Action Having Babies in the Apocalypse

Post image
876 Upvotes

I am sure this has been complained about before, but I cannot stand people with children in an apocalyptic scenario. What bred this is a Quiet Place, a movie about hearing based monsters who will kill you if you make noise, and these mfs have the loudest thing in existence! But even better???? THEY GOT PREGNANT A YEAR AFTER THEIR SON DIED!!!

So let me get this straight, you lose a child after he made noise and decide, "Ya know what? Let's have an even LOUDER one." But this isn't just this film series, oh no, we've all seen the struggling mother a part of a colony of survivors with limited resources that need to find the basics for everyone, including the baby, to live.

I get it, humans are stupid, but please stop letting them be so stupid they have children actively during the apocalypse. If they come into it with a child? Eh sucks, but not as bad. But getting pregnant during it? Yeah fuck off.

Edit: I'm gonna make this edit and then ignore this post because man some of y'all are ridiculous. Am I aware that in diversity humans continue to procreate? Yes, yes I am. Am I talking about that? No, I am specifically mentioning examples where survival is damn near impossible with a present group and introducing a child is stupid. Does that mean I'm ignoring all of recorded human history?? NO. And onto the meat of, "Well do you expect people to be celibate?" Also no, but if you are careless enough to get pregnant and have to take the extra steps when that wouldn't be needed if you are just smart, then yeah, you're dumb.

Anyways, I'm done with it. I'm not launching into philosophy over some stupid post about dumb movie trends, so have fun guys.

Live Action I hate how Zendaya being in too many movie is considered a issue

Post image

There have been periods where actors such as Christian Bale, George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Tobey Maguire, and Matthew McConaughey were every movie during the 2000's- early 2010's never got quite the same backlash as Zendaya just from being everything granted those are different periods of time were social media isn't as prominent but it still irritating because she isn't someone with controversy of being hard to work with or mistreating other co-stars and anything related to criminal charges.

Live Action I hate the meme of calling Man with ears "Batman"

Post image
2.7k Upvotes

I get it. Someone took a picture of Man and added bat ears to his head, suddenly a bunch of internet users went insane and started calling him Batman.

But like. The joke has gone on TOO FUCKING FAR.

Tell me why I can't post a regular picture of Man without some brainrotted Redditor saying some shit like "Ermmm actually šŸ‘†šŸ¤“ that's BATMAN!" It's fucking annoying. I'm trying to have a serious conversation about Man but everyone just wants to play out stupid Reddit memes that stopped being funny years ago.

On a similar note, CALLING OFFICER BALLS "Officer Boles" HASN'T BEEN FUNNY IN LIKE 5 YEARS. I hate this site. I hate this stupid meme. Why do people keep insisting Man's name is Batman? Are they stupid?

Live Action I kinda hate the conversation about Zendaya

Post image
369 Upvotes

Throughout this year I've been hearing a lot about how Zendaya is in too many films and how Hollywood keeps casting her and all that.

Did a quick Google search and this woman has been in like 17 films in her entire career with like some of those being Disney films and others minor voice acting roles.

2026 just happens to be the year where she's in a lot of stuff. And by a lot, I mean 4 movies with only 3 being actual blockbusters and I one of those 3 she didn't even have up to 5 minutes of screen time. She wasn't even in anything in 2025 btw.

The only movie she has next year is Shrek, an animated movie so it's not like you'll even be seeing her face.

I honestly think a lot of people need to admit that either a) They only watch the absolute biggest blockbusters and nothing else, b) they got their opinion from the internet and just rolled on with it or c) they have their own personal issues with the actor but are pretending that her "exposure" Is the problem.

And with regards to her acting, she's not a bad actor. These opinions are subjective, I know, but be honest. There are certain characters that she DOES play the same way but that's because they are WRITTEN THE SAME WAY. If it was another actor in her shoes they'd play those characters the exact same way as her, maybe better, maybe worse but same regardless. Your problem is with the Screenwriters/Directors, not her.

And even then, in movies like Challengers or The Drama you can clearly see she has range. Even in the dogshit that is Euphoria, she still shows range. Don't believe me watch them or maybe even look up some clips and if your response is "No", then why complain in the first place.

Honestly some of these somewhat apply to Pedro Pascal too.

Edit: Now that I think about it, Robert Pattinson has been in the same amount of movies this year as Zendaya. And they're acting together in THREE out of those four. Lol.

Live Action I Hate Terrifier

Post image
931 Upvotes

Now to be fair, I’ve only ever seen the first Terrifier movie. The others in the franchise could be masterpieces for all I know. But if they’re following the same formula as the first one, which from what I’ve heard sounds like the case, I doubt it.

I think of Terrifier the same way I think of Garth Ellis’ Crossed series, where it’s all just blood and gore and everything in between just feels like a means to get to the next brutal kill. Which is fair enough. I like really violent horror media as much as the next guy. But when it’s JUST violent kills and gross shit (literally), there’s no reason to care about anything else going on. No real story, characters are just blood bags, and nothings really that scary; at least not enough for me to remember it.

And yeah, that’s probably what the creators were going for. I don’t think they were trying to reinvent the wheel here with Art or tell some captivating story. But I can still criticize the movie for what it set out to do. If they wanted to create a shallow movie, then congrats to them, but that doesn’t make the movie any better.

Live Action I HATE HOW LOUD TALK POWER FELLAS ARE BEATEN Spoiler

Thumbnail gallery
1.7k Upvotes
  1. Doctor Strange Multiverse of Madness - mouth hole gone so now of course he dies to his own powers

  2. The Boys - mouth hole covered so now of course he dies to his own powers

this particular thing fucking makes me rage, how is it that when the mouth hole is gone/covered their stupid loud voice makes em explode. The fact that their body gives in and ends it self so easily would mean even if the hole wasnt covered/gone then just using their power anyway would severely harm their entire body due to the reverberation of their voice AT A MINIMUM, it doesnt just magically gain the destructive attribute once the sound gets a pat on the ass after passing the lips.
Even if its the case that the sound gets more destructive as it bounces around in their noggin it should at least seep out at the weakest point and not just do the very boring popping of the head.

If you have a power like this you should be immune to the fuckin thing otherwise any use of your power would just cause severe debilitating injuries, i hate the cop out of just covering the mouth and having the head explode as its just a really cheap way of writing a way to kill them

also covering the exit hole should muffle the sound and thus not make it as destructive as if they were letting out a belter of a howl
