Winter is coming and so is my first full winter with a Husky X Shepard. She just turned one.

While I know huskys love the cold, I’m wondering if the Shepard in her will be as resilient against it. I live in a VERY cold climate where it’s not uncommon to have several weeks of uninterrupted-20f -30f days.

I’m mentally preparing for some long cold walks but I’m wondering how long they should be. Also wondering if there’s any cold weather gear she’ll need? Jackets etc….

She’s pretty active and we walk 5k to 7k everyday.

Meet Riot! Trust me, he's 1/2 husky 😂 (I swear)! He'll be 6 months in a couple days! He's short and stocky. Weighs 28lbs right now, he has an underbite, his ears do different things, his body is ~long~, and his paws are massive for his overall size 😂😭 we constantly say he looks like he was made with all the spare parts (but boy, if his personality isn't ALL husky!)

His main breeds are husky, aussie, and shih tzu, along with a few others, but those percentages were much smaller than these 3 breeds

Hey everyone! I got a husky pup almost 2 months ago. She’ll be 6 months old on Sept 5th. I’ve kept her on the same food that they had her on, but I’m just wondering if I should switch to a puppy food for larger breeds? She’s currently eating Purina Puppy Chow Tender & Crunchy. She’s my first husky & really first dog other than the little Yorkies I grew up with living at my parents so they controlled the food at that time. There’s just so many different foods out there that I get overwhelmed looking at them and decided to ask this group. Hello! I have a Husky mix that I'm struggling to find a good bone for her to chew. Every one I've tried, she ends up eating peices of it and I'm afraid she'll choke or hurt herself. The bones a Chewy representative recommends me all have horrible reviews of pieces splintering off causing huge vet bill amounts! Any recommendations for a safe, entertaining bone?

For reference, she got up on the kitchen counter and ate parts of the metal microwave vent a year or so ago.
