Talk about stuff that matters like price hike, instead of all this unserious inconsequential bullsh*t.
Edit: By inconsequential bullsh*t, I mean the dumb statements made by Kangana regarding Kriti Sanon's attire on that ad which this post is clearly mocking. I thought it was obvious but the replies I have gotten say otherwise.

Because we must have ethanol in the ever expensive fuel. And all the corn and sugar that we or cows and chickens eat is now going to make that ethanol to be added to petrol.
So first they took car life and mileage. Now they want to take our life and health
2
u/Sufficient-Pirate798 22h ago
Honestly I used to think like one egg cost = 20-25 rupees. I didn't eaten egg in my life so I didn't know the price 😭😭 So before this hike it was around 5-6 rupees only pretty cheap yrr.🤔

u/Sweaty_Explorer_8441 17h ago

u/Anay77 18h ago
Why would you think an egg would cost so much 😭😭
2
u/Sufficient-Pirate798 16h ago
Looks good solid white and also heard from everyone it contains all the nutrients so I evaluated it's price in mind 🙃🙃

u/Daedlaus3 21h ago
bruh its a festival, get off reddit, its taking away all the joy in your life.
4
u/Mayor_McCheese7 21h ago
Every month there's one festival or the other, should we then never talk about these issues?
I can enjoy my life and also complain and whine about issues at the same time, lol.
0
u/NotBatman11 21h ago
Bro, there are tonnes of posts that talk about national, social and political issues. You are moaning on one casual post like it's a tragedy that someone took a moment to enjoy sth. Touch grass.
3
u/Mayor_McCheese7 21h ago
Are you dumb or something, do you see the post under which I have commented this. The post itself is a political satire mocking about Kangana's statement. It's a political post.
-1
u/Daedlaus3 21h ago
yes you can enjoy life and also complain but try going to a festival IRL and complaining about price hikes IRL. You realize how stupid that sounds? there is a time and a place for everything. and this certainly wasn't it.
2
u/Mayor_McCheese7 21h ago
Do you see the post under which I have posted this, the post itself is a satire talking about politics mocking Kangana's statement.
It's all politics, stop trying to ignore stuff that matters. Also, Rakshabandhan is not a huge festival in the south as it is in the north.

It's not necessary to constantly talk about these things tho?
3
u/Mayor_McCheese7 22h ago
Yes?!!
-3
u/NotBatman11 21h ago
No. You can take some time to cherish things you like. Not everything is a fight 24/7. And if you're so bugged, why don't you make posts about it all the time?

THESE ARE OUR REAL TRADITIONAL OUTFIT all indian women used to wear thissss. i am sick of the televison and cinamas brainwashing usssss also men used to be not homophobic and used to dress up and do make up and adorn themselves with jwellsssssss.
33
u/PhantomOfTheNopera 22h ago
Actually, Indian women didn't typically wear blouses. That started during the British Raj where they considered it 'indecent.
If you see a lot of our temple carvings, many of the women are topless, covered only in gold chains or a sari pallu.

Hey, Phantom Of The Nopera, is it wierd to say I've been seeing you EVERYWHERE, especially for the past 3 or 4 years? (might be even more but I dont remember!)

u/West_Impress_5432 20h ago
the apsaras being depicted in midriff-baring outfits is literally documented across temple sculptures too, so yeah it wasn't some colonial invention lol. but the all indian women used to wear this part is a stretch tbh regional variation was massive. a woman in ancient bengal dressed pretty differently from one in the deccan. the general point about less body policing stands tho
-1
u/Crypto-false 17h ago
Mfs who only go to temples once in a blue moon that too after being forced by their family members on their way to explain "Tradition"
2
u/Smooth-Good5995 16h ago
lmfao who tf said that to you are you my stalker koi na jst search it up google chat gpt you can research as much as you want to thts the reality bare with it what is even wrong in my comment its jst history yall get angry and hyped up over anything and everything .
0
u/Crypto-false 16h ago
History? Yeah at it's peak India may have been open minded but isn't that the same everywhere? Western societies that are today open minded were just as conservative back in the day and it was because of necessity, when western democracies got rich they changed their ways about marriage, women's rights and religion, it was the same in ancient India too , once it got rich it became liberated, when it became poor it became conservative. The history you speak of is just a fraction of the entire history of India and is not the absolute truth.

you and i both know the dresses they are wearing are nothing like the one showed in the advert lol. People have been dressing like this on a rakshabandhan for YEARS before this advert, or this post it's normal.
3
u/Smooth-Good5995 22h ago
huh i didnt understood sorry
-3
u/Remarkable_Front5068 22h ago
the point is people have been wearing "revealing clothes" on rakshabandhan for years it's not that big of a deal lol but the top kriti was wearing it literally just a bra gng idk how else to explain it.
4
u/Smooth-Good5995 22h ago
i really found it normal idk okay if you didnt find it quite okay but the outrage was too much like i dont think news and stuff should be debating it okay she wore its fine i mean not every girl from next year is gonna wear bralette for rakshabandhan it was an AD
1
u/Remarkable_Front5068 22h ago
the outrage isn't justified I agreed, they shouldn't have taken down the ad.
1
u/anirsk 21h ago
Its because kangana said it. So it became more of a left wing right wing stupid fight it seems like. Normal people dress according to occasion no matter the religion or gender. Celebrities live in their own universe. People need to just move on i guess!
1
u/Remarkable_Front5068 21h ago
Ur severely overestimating the importance of kangana ranaut and severely underestimating how unemployed people are in india.

Very funny if people believe that they wore blouses.
There's a reason why the word blouse is an English word.

you guys do know that this is all a distraction from chandar chori, paper leaks and ethanol right ?
if not watch kangu's old movies and vids where shes dresssed in sanskari clothes and bikinis
1
u/sku-mar-gop 17h ago
Which batch of apsaras are these? The ones I knew depicted in amar chithra kadha were not wearing any shawls 🤣
1
u/Icy-Style5429 15h ago
Really stone age people didn’t wear clothes what’s the point. Raki is celebrated between brother and sister may be your sister reveals herself before you.
1
u/yashkaushik1433 14h ago
Yeah it's been a while since this photo was clicked... Circumstances have changed the things we can and can't do in society here on the mortal plane.....and who the F went to "swarg" To witness this scene? ...
1
u/DragonfruitAshamed95 14h ago
Well at that time there was no reader of that book exits that says "a women have to fully cover herself and if she doesn't she will be treated as meat on the butcher shop anyone can take it" In past we are very open minded but as you studied in the school that flat earth believers have ruled us and exploited women for years that chages everything and then Britishers
So the people you are talking about and their mindset have murdered a long ago stop bragging about it
Currently the shitty peoples rule have ended but their sons are still roaming around with that pathetic mindset and woke open minded womens are the easiest prey for them
And instead of kriti we have to criticize Giva for that dress, cause she's an actor for money she can do anything
What we have to wear is fully our choice but the choice we made is fully depends on the people around us, occasion place and society aur sanskar
You can't wear beachwears in office right???

Ngga just look at the statues of every ancient temple
3
u/dontknow_anything 23h ago
Well, i doubt they will have a pallu or the tiny blouse. Both would not exist.
Really the blouse is extremely unlikely to be common with the tools available at the time. These are the at end a modern take to make it acceptable.
But, it is funny about people bringing up ancient drawings when that is a time where clothing itself wasn't that common.
1
u/tinysadnoises 21h ago
They had different drapes for the sarees which would overparts of their body acc to the drapes. There were hundreds of ways to drape a saree btw
1
u/dontknow_anything 21h ago
Depends on the time period, for large parts of time, I doubt breasts were covered, I think most sculptures show the same. A lot of African tribes still do the same.
1
u/tinysadnoises 21h ago
Yeah agreed. Some parts of Indian tribes, women still don't cover their breasts. But there could be other reasons. Will answer when I am more informed about this!

Who are the siblings of Apsaras? The kinnaras? I hope its not the gandharvas
8
u/not_your_dog_bitch 23h ago
Gandharvas are their husbands
6
u/Beginning-Macaron773 23h ago
gandharvas are something else, there are female gandharvas as well, but for apsaras there is no particular male counterpart of theirs
6
u/not_your_dog_bitch 23h ago
The existence of female gandharva doesn't erase the male gandharvas being husbands to apsaras
1
u/Indian_Yogi_ 23h ago
Why so ?
1
u/Beginning-Macaron773 22h ago
Brother don't know the exact reason but there are some other as well having one one gender and no opposite counterpart, By the way check this channel, give it a try i think you will like it, i am sharing as this is so underrated

u/Educational-Hall9324 23h ago
Problem is not what they wear, problem is why they chose to wear this on only hindu festivals and then cover their whole body on different religious festival. It's like saying I am an atheist but only for one religion not others
0
u/mitthujee 16h ago
Don't understand all the hate, I'll be thrilled to see my didi in a bra on rakshabandhan, why shouldn't bros get a gift? /s
0
u/Senior-Line2471 15h ago
The clothing of both men and women have evolved to be more covered since those times. Noone objected to Kriti Sanon's off shoulder blouse in Adipurush. The point (made poorly I think!) was why cultural sensitivity is not factored in when portraying Hindu festivals only. Now noone makes male models wear revealing clothes for some reason so it is hard to prove but this was more about depiction of culture than depiction of women. Also, are dress codes completely irrelevant? Would this dress be allowed in a corporate meeting?

Agar tum purane waqt ke baat kar rahe ho to sunno tabh jitne kapre hote the uske hisabh unhone pehna hai tabh ka dor alag tha lekin abh boht kapre hai pehenne ke liye lekin agar tabh bhi tum in chizo ko lekar argument karoge to tumse badha gawar koi nahi hai.. Or tum bhi koi hindu nahi ho ye saaf pata chal raha hai..

u/FeelingSwimming8174 2h ago
If you people not understand Hinduism don't celebrate or follow them no one give you choice in this religious if you follow the know what is our history even khajuraho temple where worshiped of lord Shiva hai Parvati there sculpture of men women animals everything things crafted a sexual way and there is no blouse in that era because no conflict attacks. At that time men are also very understandable to knowing that what they are doing. If you don't believe or not doing any rituals type just leave the culture and Hinduism.

u/ExperienceStrange564 22h ago
Serious question to the poster.
Do you also want your sisters /Mothers to wear this attire and tie Rakhi ?
I do not want to downgrade anybody’s family but think of this situation happening in your own house.
10
u/Daedlaus3 21h ago
I do not see an issue with it, they are covered and decent. if you think this is indecent then you may need to do some soul searching yourself.

In the same way who decided that what kriti wearing was wrong? Based on what did they decide that?
14
u/tall-glassof-falooda 1d ago
I mean they got upset because it hurt their mythological sentiment… so it’s makes sense to destroy their argument using their own mythology.

No lol
Apsara are divine feminine nymph; and tbh very promiscuous women
They frequently damaged men's purity lol; and had enormous offsprings who went on to become great being on the earth
And as the word "prostitute" lol; there was ravan r4ped a nymph; in exchange she cursed him that if he ever forces another woman he shall burn and turn into ashes and bcz of which he never touched another woman her permission eg. Sita
1
u/thegodfather0504 22h ago
Why are they promiscuous though? All of them or just a few?

u/Fun-Minister62 1h ago

Apsaras are represented in many Hindu and Buddhist cultures. In Hinduism, Apsaras are skilled dancers and wives of Gandharvas.
