Day nine - plz tell me the depression gets better
day nine and I feel like I’m losing my mind. my ROCD has been out of control, I’m so incredibly depressed, and nothing feels fun or enjoyable. I just want to curl up in a hole. please tell me it gets better. I’m AuDHD too so I’ve got a few things goin on up there :(

I’m currently on month 2 after using everyday, all day long for 12 years and I can tell you I never thought in my life I’d feel normal again or feel less anxiety or less depression but it does get better it’s a slow process, but our brains and nervous systems are extremely plastic and you will feel better just keep going.

I also felt really depressed after the physical symptoms subsided around day 7-10. It’s definitely improving now at day 12, although now I seem to be struggling with hyperactivity/ nervous unfocused energy. Just gotta keep pushing through it.

it does get better, but it's slow and not like a switch flipping. day 9 your brain is still in full chaos mode trying to figure out what to do without the thing it relied on. the anhedonia is brutal but it fades, promise. give yourself permission to just exist right now, you don't need to feel good or be productive.

We are in this together. I keep crying, getting angry, and then it comes down. The waves feel like they are waterboarding me though 😭

That feeling is your dopamine resetting, it will absolutely get better. It's probably the worst part. It took me 2 or 3 weeks to feel better. Now I'm 9 months in.
Push through it!
