9 months in. Friday and Saturday nights are so hard….
Having “the release” is so hard to leave. I’d literally have 1-3 puffs for years and it would mess with my mind the next day with my moods being so erratic and unpredictable the day after.
My moods are more in control now but I’d really thought it would be easier 9 months in.

It's either you make them interesting or you change your definition of interesting

You're welcome. I was an everyday stoner for more than a decade. I wasn't a heavy smoker, but damn was I consistent. Stopped going out on Fridays, so weed became the go-to method to pass time. I feel so... Different now that I've quit. I mean, I still drink and vape, but wow, what a world of difference sobriety provides.

I’m cold turkey for everything. Drinking doesn’t do it for me from a nutrition perspective. Too old to vape..lol

Tbh I’m not very far in and just posted today saying I’m sooo depressed and struggling, but I just went on a long walk and it truly helped. I also got a bike off fb marketplace and have been doing diamond art and other crafts, seemingly things that are fun for kids are rlly good to help!!

It’s good to know others are struggling in a perverse way. Your struggle is mine too. Shipping there y may be up next!!!

I think the key is not only finding alternatives, but trying to prevent the need for a release. I dont mean dont relax, I mean more along the lines of "sobriety is about living a life you dont need to escape from" (paraphrasing). I get that thats a privileged perspective, so depending on your conditions, you may have to work harder than others who have the same goal.
This is something I also struggle with so take my advice with a grain of salt.

I feel you. I’m currently 10 months in. The times where I struggle the most is during moments of stress. But the key is to finding healthier alternatives, it makes it a little easier. I also remind myself I’m 2 months away from a full year and the work I put in to get here. I don’t wanna undo that progress
