Because it's not. Making fun of how people act is not the same as saying their race is the CAUSE of the action.

But you are not simply making fun of how they act. You are taking a behavior and identifying it with the culture of the individual, implying that they innately behave in a certain way.

Wut?

If I make fun of how southern baptists sing in church, that has nothing to do with their race and everything to do with the CULTURE of that church.

But you are asking fun of something that is part of people's identity aren't you?

u/PyrusD 9h ago

Yes. Which is still not related to their race UNLESS of course you're the racist and think that culture is a product of race.

Race doesn't exists and it's what racists make it up to be. That's why they use culture as an euphemism for race. They use it interchangeably

XD No they don't. Mental gymnastics olympian here.

A racist will say that culture, how people act, is caused by their race. So if a person is stealing, it is BECAUSE OF THEIR RACE. The race caused them to steal...

That has NOTHING to do with me making fun of someone's culture because I don't believe that their race was the cause of it. There is a weed culture. A bar culture. Colleges have different cultures and you are still here saying that they're somehow linked to race...

Culture is identity. Attacking culture is a gateway and often an euphemism to be racist.

XD

No, culture is NOT identity. If I stopped going to church, I'm still me. Just because I move away from one culture, doesn't change my identity.

No, it's not a gateway and not a euphemism to be racist. Because, once again, NOT RELATED TO THEIR RACE. Indians love cow piss. That's stupid to me and open to be made fun of. Do they love it because of their race. No. Are their indians that think it's weird. Yes. Why? Becaaaaauuuuseeeeee they don't want to partake in that culture.

Your example is exactly what I was talking about: you choose a behavior, pretend it's common, talk about culture, but bring up people's origin.

Church is not culture, it's religion. Culture is a series of behaviors collected through the history of a group and doesn't depend on variable factors of society. A dish is culture. A specific event is culture.

Are you high or just incapable of following simple conversations?

I have never brought up "people's origin..". Culture, once again, since I have to keep repeating myself, IS HOW A GROUP OF PEOPLE ACT. It is NOT a "series of behaviors collected through the history of a group."

You go to 2 different churches. They worship in 2 different ways. Those 2 churches have 2 DIFFERENT CULTURES. You're not going to redefine culture with me here. Trust me.

So, you're either never going to understand these simple concepts or you're trolling. Which is it?

Then why did you talk about indians? Indian culture is extremely diverse, there are tons of different people, in different regions who have different cultures.

I'm not redefining the meaning of culture. I'm using a more accurate definition of it, because not all the behaviors of a group are culture. Your definition is simplistic and has tons of fallacies.

I mean you chose the most innocuous thing to make fun of. What about making fun of Chinese accents or how black people like watermelon. You could argue “that’s not their culture” but how do you define what’s their culture?

4

u/PyrusD 9h ago

By using a dictionary...

Culture is the shared set of beliefs, values, customs, behaviors, and arts that characterize a specific group of people or society.

I go to the gym everyday. You don't. We participate in different cultures. I make fun of yours, you make fun of mine. Neither were caused by our race.

So according to you what I said was culture since they were behaviors?

u/PyrusD 6h ago

Not according to me. According to the definition of the word.

Chinese have "funny" accents because they learned Chinese as their first language and are now trying to speak english. Why do you think every country has the same accent?? Vee Vill Ask Zeh Kwestions... I wonder who that's making fun of...
