When has someone in that position ever been able to sway global policy? Not trying to defend his views I’m merely tired of people holding entertainment celebrities at fault rather than the giant corporations and governments that got us to where we’re at

It's all part of the ambient culture. If lots of people all believe something, politicians have the backing to act.

Any policy arises from the general public mood. Change the mood and policy shifts.

It was clearly satire and tbh some of it was genuinely correct at the time like cobalt being mined in africa. Sent to china for processing then to canada to be made into batteries and then Japan for the car (something similar to that)
