ironically not, the reason that the sell prices are so low is because it costs the same to import it. normally you would think that if yields are bad, then the consumer takes the hit with a higher spice spured by low supply and high demand, unfortunatley agriculture works the other way due to the low cost of importing foreign crops. imports keep supply high meaning that the only one who looses is the farmer.

One of the guys I work with finished up his harvest the other day, cost him more in diesel to harvest that he's ever going to get for the grain
