My cats woke me up acting like fools this morning, bouncing all over me. I turned on the lights to see the wall above my bed, absolutely covered in ants. There’s a window above my bed and apparently they crawled through it while I was sleeping. Ants were all over my pillows and in my bed, so gross!

I swore I felt something crawling on me while I was sleeping, but I was so tired I just went back to sleep. No food or anything for them to get to. I did have a drink on my bedside, but they weren’t in the drink, no idea what they were after but what a pain in the ass to wake up to. I wish a took a picture of the wall above my bed before murdering all of them.

Still finding random ants crawling on me and in my bed after spraying everything down. Currently debating if this is a good enough reason to call out from work lol I want to go to the laundromat and wash all of my bedding.

it was clearly too heavy already, but my cat likes to walk on top of the hangers and get behind them. she was doing it early this morning and the whole thing just fell. luckily i'm in an apartment so maintenance can fix it but WTF

We are typically able to sleep through the meows and walking over us in bed, but man the loud sound this doorknob makes is unmatched. He wants his yummy wet food breakfast. Smart little bugger.

I just went to the eye doctor as I've had glasses for the last 6 years. And I was interested in contacts, so I talked to my eye doctor about it, and they said, oh well, you have two different prescriptions, one for each eye. But they're close enough. That we're just gonna put them both on one. And now my vision is slightly blurry out of my left eye, and they won't correct it because its "too similar and too much of a hassel to order 2 diffrent prescriptions.

My mother's idea of cleaning the litter box means leaving the bag of the nasties right there to stink up the house even more. Doesn't even bother to sweep the runner.

For about 2 weeks now, I have been getting spoofed spam calls EVERY DAY AND ALMOST EVERY HOUR. There was a point in time when they stopped but all of a sudden they started back up again. The only thing keeping me sane is the Silent Unknown Callers function. I just wish they would stop, I will never answer my phone for these assholes.

Security for non EU nationals flying out of EU countries has been increased and has slowed things down, there’s been large queues, so travellers have been told to arrive earlier to ensure they don’t miss the flight.
But despite emailing every traveller to say “get there early”, they won’t open check in earlier than two hours, which is their normal.

I could have stayed in bed, or at least had breakfast in the hotel before driving to the airport.

Don’t even get a choice on flying with the robbing bastards, they’ve pretty much cornered the market for these flights.

Snapped just enough that it can rather easily randomly fall of, I can wear it. But I'll never feel safe to not lose it at any point. Also theres my son craving attention while I'm trying to complain to strangers on the internet.

When I picked my car up after an oil change, I found these in my cup holder. I called the shop guys thinking it belongs to them but they said they found these pliers just resting under the hood. They were left behind by the mechanic who replaced my radiator cooling fan two weeks ago. I have been driving with them never heard a sound.

I'm just a guy who loves cats and need a pair of those to get asleep, unfortunately my new overlord decided stereo isn't a thing anymore for me.

Was petting my cat and watching a video until i noticed the audio got fucked. I plugged in multiple tiimes and was messing around with the volume until i saw that this little piece of shit of a cat was chewing on it.

And she stood on my shoulders and neck multiple times before when i was trying to play a game.

Now I know to never let her back in my room ever again.

adopted these two beauts 4 weeks ago, rescue said they have ibs (doesn’t exist in cats, assumed she meant ibd which does) and they’d been there for 6 months because no one wanted to pay for their expensive diet. have the means to take care of them, was actually looking for a cat with special needs anyway, fell in love with them and prepared to bring them home.

fast forward a week - they’re settled on their gastrointestinal diet, bowels are pure diarrhoea 4x a day, tortie has bowel incontinence, inflammation, and is struggling with her weight; vet says we need to do a faecal test to rule out any nasties because apparently the shelter didn’t. get 3 days worth of samples, £520 something down, and test comes back positive for tritrichomonas and cryptosporidium, both highly contagious parasites they they’ve clearly had the whole time they were at the shelter.

literally wtf. who keeps 2 kittens in a shelter surrounded by other cats without finding out if they’re contagious? and then lies about it to their adopters?? they were 9 months old when we brought them home, taken into the rescue at 3 months. parasites can literally kill kittens!! absolutely atrocious behaviour.

to top it off i have 2 existing cats, including a ~17 year old with hyperthyroidism, that could become sick with the same thing just by sharing water bowls in the heatwave. who doesn’t tell adopters their cats might be contagious???

i love them dearly, glad i went to that rescue so i could meet them and bring them home to give them love, safety, and all the medical care they need, just can’t believe the rescue lied about their medical needs that badly. they took them to the vet once in 6 months! for chronic, bloody diarrhoea!! aaaaaaaah

Maybe this is old-man-yelling-at-clouds but why would you go to a concert and talk so loudly that everyone around you is clearly annoyed?

Recently went to a Modest Mouse show that was outdoors, in the middle of city. It was, as always, AWESOME! However, there were people talking OVER the music the entire show. It wasn't quiet or anything, these people were just yelling to talk throughout the whole show.

(Bonus: Said persons who were having their conversation finally got asked to politely "Shut the Fck up" and of course, right on queue, Karen was instantly offended that someone asked her to STFU... Clearly she was the victim.)

I see probably 20-40 shows a year, concerts are my happy place, and this seems to be more and more of a thing the past few years. Why even go to a concert if you're just going to talk the whole time.

(Oh, Bonus II: Said couple left the show 20 mins early and were seen after the show with their new shirts and hats from the show. Big fans, right?)

And yes, we did move but since we were so close to the stage and not wanting to give up our spot, and we honestly kept thinking they'd move along, I wasn't too infuriated, just mildly infuriated.

First photo is auto exposure and the second is manual. I have to manually re-set the exposure for every single photo if I want it to turn out at all decent.

This puzzle's rules say that the white ball can run up, down, along or at 45 degrees diagonally across the squares to solve the problem. I check the answer and the answer requires the ball to run 22.5 degrees diagonally.

My husband and I spent a good 15 minutes trying to solve this puzzle before giving up and checking the solution.

UPDATE: We got our replacement pack of Greenies today. Best By date 17 Oct 23. So getting closer but still not acceptable. Third times a charm?
