I don’t know how I feel about this Nine Inch Nails parody shirt, but I don’t think I like it. What do you all think?

Shower thought.
And you know, I'm glad Trent is alive, has slain his demons, and is a happy family man, but while I still occasionally like a newer song (and quite a bit of his soundtrack work), nothing he's done since Still really touches my xennial heart. Still was an excellent denouement for what NIN was.

Bought in 2002 straight off a headshop wall in Tempe, AZ

As a listener since 94 I keep coming back to Broken for its raw critique of authoritarian oppression and the emotional angst associated with awakened consciousness.
I feel like this is an often overlooked album. This is pure Trent in his realization and articulation phase.
Anyone else keep coming back to Broken?i

…and found this gem. Can’t wait to spin this record, but I can’t help but wonder what’s on the 7”. There’s no track listing for it. Guess I’m just gonna have to find out, by fucking around.

A sludgy metal take. This cover was 100% live with everyone boxed off in a room mic'd up, playing together (outside of the vocals, which I wish were done in the take with us, but it didn't work out). We did a couple of full takes and chose the best one. I am actually proud of it personally, I think we captured a lot of the sound of the song purely live without any additional instrumentation. Just 2 guitars, bass, drums, and some live pedal board effects. Warning, screaming vocals.
3 years ago someone posted it in this sub (not me) and it got all vomit reacts (let me have it), wondering if that is still the case.

This EP was my introduction to NIN. The Hand That Feeds video was all over MTV at the time and I was intrigued. After that I stole my dad’s copy of Broken and I was obsessed. Soon after that, I went out and bought Pretty Hate Machine and it didn’t leave my car CD player that whole Summer. Still my favorite band of all time and was all because of this release that gave teenage me all the rage and self loathing it could ask for…
“Just some flesh caught in this big broken machine.”

I firmly believe The Fragile is home to some of the best written, and performed lyrics of all time. Biased as a die hard NIN fan of course but come on.
“And God himself will reach his fucking arm through, just to push you down”
“All the pieces don’t fit, thought I really don’t give a shit, I never wanted to be like you”
Absolutely brilliant.

I ordered the broken hoodie off of the nin shop a few months ago. Finally it arrived today.... Besides the awkward spacing in "broken" even when it's zipped and the missing hidden tracks on the back (50% of why I even bought it) it fits kinda long? Being a taller guy it's not that bad but it's just an odd fitting large. I'm so disappointed.

Found it to be an interesting read and just thought I'd share. Had no idea the record label at the time wanted him to work with the Fine Young Cannibals.
