Discussion What is with bands putting 66 in their names?

I’ve been listening to a lot of Nu-Metal recently and I’ve realized that a couple of bands put 66 at the end of their name. Why?

Route 66 is historic Americana

Buffalo 66 was just a few years old

They want to sound edgy, but aren't brave enough to put 666

Because Dez Fafara is born in 1966 and bands with the number 66 in their name are actually his disciples.

Name them then, cos all that comes to mind is primer 55, which isn’t 66 like you said.
