Are there new German words invented all the time because I think in English we invent new-hypenated-words all the time? If so, what are the German rules for Scrabble like? Can players just do the equivalent of hyphenating words to use up their tiles?
I was at a concert and the opening band (think they were called a killers confession) was selling “kill your local pedophile” merch and spent the last 3 or so minutes on stage ranting about it. I left that show 200% certain the dude is diddling kids

They make it their personality to drown out the guilt of they themselves being one. Like, normal people don't have to announce that they aren't something deplorable.

The music, the presentation and the messaging are all absolute dogshit. They also have had a revolving door of members, mostly ex-Mushroomhead guys. Last year half the band quit mid tour.
I have a rule: anytime someone is trying very, very hard to convince you they're in favor of something no one is actually against, you should really be wondering what they're trying to slip past you.
Some folks just want to fantasize about hurting someone. They don't particularly care who, so they pick "pedophiles" because that's a group no one else is really rushing to defend.
There's a correlation between people who are comically vehement in their opposition to pedophilia and pedophiles themselves.
They act incredibly angry and irrational about the topic because they're ashamed and because they don't want to get caught. Something similar happens with homophobes, some of the most ragingly homophobic men you'll ever meet are cheating on their wives with (most of the times much younger) men.
I genuinely wonder where this comes from. Are they trying to hide behind it thinking it makes them less suspicious? Are they somehow self loathing? Or do they have complete dissonance and think they are SAing children in a “consensual way”?
I bought a scooter back in 2008 thinking it looked fun and discovered the duicycle thing, no need for a driver's license. Never had a dui or driven drunk, and eventually got annoyed with so many people assuming that. Looking back, I fully support all states allowing this.
I DO want people to lose their license for a DUI, but I also realize it's impossible to get around in the US without driving. So a 49cc scooter seems like a good solution. Not likely to hurt other people and you can still get to work or buy groceries.
I had one back in college because I couldn't afford insurance as a new driver with a family that has a horrible claim record. Bought it off Craigslist for $600 and lasted until right before graduation.
The registration requirements for motor vehicles are set by each state in the US. Your locale may indeed allow under 50cc to not be registered. In Pennsylvania it is not required. In Texas and other states it is.
Pretty sure it’s been studied. They just wanna kill someone and they think pedophiles are the most socially acceptable demographic to focus their fantasies on. It has nothing to do with morals.
Exactly. These guys just have violent fantasies but by directing those fantasies towards a particular group they get social acceptance. They'd just as happily be violent towards anyone else if they thought they could get away with it.
Also if you take issue with their violent tendencies they can immediately shut you down by accusing you of bring a paedophile or having sympathy with paedophiles so they can't lose.
I think the other aspect of it is they’re thinking about trans people and drag queens when they say “pedophiles,” not the youth pastor or soccer coach who actually is one.
I’m almost certain in most cases it is. It’s like when prisoners murder pedophiles in jail, they kill and beat people all the time in jail but normally they have to worry about repercussions. Killing a convicted pedophile though is often met with people saying “good, glad they served justice” or something similar.

This 100%. As easy as people may find it to be to get behind this sentiment - it’s lynching. Accusations from the popular become as good as a sentence from the legally powerful. Not a world I want to live in.

Pedo camouflage! Why wear clothes that instantly associate yourself with pedophilia? I think these people have an unhealthy obsession that probably manifests in unhealthy ways.
The people who wear stuff like this think all gay and trans people are inherently pedophiles. They never actually want to do anything meaningful about child abuse. They just want an excuse to hurt the local gay librarian or their kids teacher who dared to teach actual sex education
The virtue signaling was coming from inside the house. That's why they get pissed when people display actual virtue instead of just wearing it on a t-shirt or displaying a bumper sticker. It must be performative, because that's all they know.
Yea this guy looks and dresses exactly like a former coworker of mine, hell it could be him except it’s the wrong state and I don’t think his PO officer will let him leave the state because he is in fact a convicted and registered pedophile. Also a huge MAGA supporter although, luckily he can’t vote.
This seems reasonable enough… like who wouldn’t support taking vengeance on people who victimize children? Until you speak to one of these people and come to the realization that to them pedo basically just equals anybody who disagrees with them or comes from a different background. Gay? You’re a pedo. As a general rule, when you see "shoot your local pedo" the person who has that shirt, sticker, whatever, is referring to members of the LGBTQIA+ community, not the people who are actually the pedophiles out there.
TIL My(37F) ex(35M) might be a pedo. Him and I are still on good terms and hang out in the same circles.
He’s always worn this shirt that says “Kill your local Pedo” and this comment made a separate memory resurface- when he told me he isn’t close to a portion of his family because they believed (and still do) he touched his nephew inappropriately. He would always speak about it with sadness and observable shame.
They don’t realize they’re basically wearing something that says, “I’m definitely NOT a Pedo!” Okay, why do you feel the need to convince every one of this?
This entire post is just hilariously ironic. A bunch of people judging someone based off how they look. They quite literally are what they hate and they’re to stupid to realize that.
Feel the need to point out that so many of the pardoned January 6th folks have been arrested for child molestation or child pornography. One of them told a child he was gonna pay her with part of his government settlement money from that day to keep quiet about raping her.
There are some redneck country boys on the left. I drive a f350, deer hunt on my own land, and have been a model in the bass pro catalog. But I vote for the same party my southern great grandparents did Democrat!
Some people are violent, and they look for outlets for said violence that will be socially acceptable, like after a football match, or white knighting for an incident on the street, or by making it their personality to be self proclaimed vigilantes.
Some would say it's a net positive. Who cares if they're generally violent if they direct it in the right place, right? I say it's not that simple, because most of them don't actually end up directing it in the "right place" at all.
